After lunch, you will continue with your tour guide to:

Memphis City, which dates back to 2925 BC and was founded by King Menes to be the birthplace of the first dynasty in ancient Egypt, is one of the first capitals ever built in history.

The Saqqara Step Pyramid is a one-of-a-kind structure built for Pharaoh Djoser by his brilliant vizier Imhotep in the 27th century BC to house a special mortuary temple that would serve as his ultimate resting place.

The Dahshur Pyramids are a collection of incredible structures erected for King Sneferu (2575-2551 BC), including the Bent Pyramid, which has an irregular top, and the Red Pyramid, which has a unique red tint.

You will check into your Cairo hotel for the night.

Day 3: Board Your Flight to Luxor, the City of Divinity: After checking out of your accommodation, you will travel to Cairo Airport to catch your flight to Luxor, where our Tour Guide will take you to the following Luxor attractions:

Karnak Temple: The Karnak Temple Complex is one of the largest temple complexes in the world, located near Luxor in Egypt. It comprises a vast mix of temples, pylons, chapels, and other buildings. The history of the complex dates back to the Middle Kingdom era, when construction began during the reign of Senusret I and continued until the Ptolemaic Kingdom.

Check-in at your hotel in Luxor.

Day 4: Luxor Tours: After breakfast at the hotel, pick you up and start our tours to the wonderful attractions of the west of Luxor:

The Valley of the Queens: The Valley of the Queens is a fascinating mortuary temple with around 75 tombs dating from the 18th to the 20th dynasties that were built for the wives and daughters of the new kingdom’s pharaohs.

The Valley of the Kings: The Valley of the Kings is located in the heart of a holy mountain and contains around 30 tombs dating from the New Kingdom (1570–1050 BC), including the magnificent tombs of Tutankhamun, Akhenaten, Thutmose III, Ramses the Great, and others.

The Colossi of Memnon: The Colossi of Memnon are two massive stone statues of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III, which stand at the front of the ruined Mortuary Temple of Amenhotep III, the largest temple in the Theban Necropolis in Luxor, Egypt. They have stood since 1350 BC and are well known to ancient Greeks and Romans, as well as early modern travelers and Egyptologists. The statues were constructed during the New Kingdom period, and each statue is approximately 60 feet tall. The statues once flanked the mortuary temple’s entrance, and their purpose was to protect and guard the temple.

You will spend the night in Luxor at the hotel.

Breakfast and Lunch are included

Day 5: Visit the Dendera & Abydos Complex, which is awe-inspiring: After breakfast, you will travel with your tour guide to the divine temples of Egypt’s ancient gods, such as:

The Ancient Abydos temple dates back to the old kingdom and is where the ruler of the underworld, Osiris, was worshipped. The famed Abydos King Record, a chronological list featuring cartouches of Egypt’s dynastic pharaohs from Menes to Seti’s father Ramesses I, is housed in the complex’s temple of King Seti I.

After you’ve had your lunch, proceed to:

Cleopatra VII and Ptolemy XII built the Hathor temple at Dendera in the late Ptolemaic Dynasty, and it is known for its vibrant and grandiose embellishments.

After that, you’ll return to your Luxor hotel for the night.

Day 6: Aswan from Luxor: You will check out of your hotel and go by air-conditioned vehicle to Aswan to explore:

Edfu Temple: The Temple of Edfu is a magnificent ancient temple located on the west bank of the Nile River in Edfu, Upper Egypt. Built in the Ptolemaic Kingdom between 237 and 57 BC, it is the most extensive and well-preserved of all Pharaonic temples in Egypt. The temple is dedicated to the worship of the falcon god Horus, one of the most significant gods in ancient Egyptian mythology.

Kom Ombo Temple: The Temple of Kom Ombo is a unique double-temple structure situated in the town of Kom Ombo in the Aswan Governorate of Upper Egypt. It is believed to have been constructed during the Ptolemaic Dynasty, between 180-47 BC, with some additional construction occurring later.

Check-in at your hotel in Aswan.

Day 7: Abu Simbel Day Trip from Aswan: After breakfast at your hotel, pick you up and start our tour to the Temples of King Ramses II at Abu Simbel.

The Abu Simbel temples are two massive rock-cut temples located in the southern Egyptian village of Abu Simbel, near the Aswan Governorate in Upper Egypt. The temples were built during the reign of the Egyptian King Ramses II in the 13th century BCE and were dedicated to several ancient Egyptian gods, including Amun, Ra-Horakhty, and Ptah.

The temples were lost and buried under sand until their rediscovery in the early 19th century, and then later moved to higher ground in the 1960s to avoid submersion in the waters of Lake Nasser. The temples are renowned for their massive size, intricate design and decorations, and the four colossal statues of Ramses II that stand at their entrance.

Day 8: Aswan Tours: You’ll start your day after breakfast by touring the magical attractions of Aswan:

It was once located on Philae Island but was moved to nearby Agilkia Island as part of the UNESCO Nubia Campaign project. The temple complex dates back to the Pharaonic era and includes impressive hieroglyphic reliefs that are being studied and published by the Philae Temple Text Project of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, Vienna (Institute OREA).

The Unfinished Obelisk: The Unfinished Obelisk is the largest known ancient obelisk located in the northern region of the stone quarries of ancient Egypt in Aswan 1. It is over 3,500 years old and was discovered in the granite quarries of Aswan where it was abandoned due to the presence of cracks. The creation of the obelisk was possibly commissioned by Hatshepsut, the 18th Dynasty Pharaoh who ruled Egypt around 1450 BC.

The High Dam: The Aswan High Dam, is one of the largest embankment dams in the world, located across the Nile in Aswan, Egypt. It was constructed between 1960 and 1970 as a means of controlling the unpredictable floods of the Nile and providing reliable storage of water for irrigation. What People Say About Us
5/5

Thank you Egypt Fun Tours for a most memorable trip. I admit I didn’t do any of the planning (it was all done by my boyfriend) but as you can read in the reviews below Hani (the owner of Egypt Fun Tours) is superbly organized and accommodating with scheduling.

My boyfriend and I, and our dearest mutual friend, booked the 7Days-6Nights tour. In short time, we visited Cairo, Aswan, and Luxor sailing down the down the Nile, pit stopping to see key sites at these location – and so much more!!! We got to know the ancient and modern egypt in depth thanks to Hani’s impressive knowledge. He also enlightened us on the people and their beliefs and went as far as showing us what a typical life looks like. I cannot express the level of personalized service Hani offered us. He was flexible to adapt to our requirements and added sites to our schedule that was not part of the tour simply to ensure we were 100% satisfied with our experience in Egypt.

I went to Egypt practically blind-folded, not knowing what to expect, especially considering the time we had decided to go (December 2020 – we were the first group that Hani met with after months of having to put his tour agency on hold considering the pandemic) yet he managed to surpass all of our expectations. I felt so incredibly lucky for us to have stumbled on Hani. I would recommend Egypt Fun Tours to anyone and everyone. It was truly, HANDS DOWN, the best cultural experience I’ve ever had. You’ll be in the best of hands.

Hamada was incredible! So knowledgeable and kind. He had information about every item, street corner, and relic we looked at. Any questions we had, he had answers! He even made sure to give us tips while walking through the crowds so that’s we would feel more comfortable when being approached by vendors. Oh and the food?! He took us to the best places! Delicious food!! We tried Egyptian fried chicken, falafel for the first time, the best shawarma in the city (we love food). We even got to meet his beautiful wife and children and try some “French” Egyptian coffee in their home! Truly made friends for life!! We’ve promised to host him and the family when they travel to America for the first time! Such an incredible experience, and Hamada (and family) made it that much more memorable and amazing!

Excellent trip to historic sites with no one else around. We came to see Egypt while most places still had COVID19 fears. The staff at Egypt Fun Tours were professional, safe, and great to deal with. Very helpful, knowledgeable, and entertaining. I feel like I just got a a year of Egyptology in the last week and we had all the sites to ourselves due to COVID19. While people are shutting down and staying home you should feel safe to come explore with Egypt Fun Tours and have the place to yourself.
