The Great Pyramid

A ladder to the skies, the Great Pyramid of Giza was built in 2600 BC by Pharaoh Khufu during the 4th dynasty, with the help of his vizier Hemiunu. With a height of 147 m (481 ft) and a total weight of 6 million tonnes, it is one of the oldest, biggest, and tallest structures on Earth. It is constructed of 2.5 million slabs of limestone.

The Great Sphinx

The Sphinx of Pharaoh Khafre (2558–2532 BC) was carved from a single block of limestone and has the head and body of a lion. It is a living work of art.

The Valley Temple

Mummification is the major function of the Valley Temple, which has several granite columns and alabaster flooring.

The whole family will have lunch at a magnificent restaurant with a view of the Pyramids and the Nile before traveling to:

Step Pyramid of Saqqara

Imhotep began a tremendous effort to usher in a new era of the building between 2670 and 2650 BC, and it was sparked by the Step Pyramid of Saqqara. It was the first structure to include a funerary complex and a courtyard, and it was intended to serve as Pharaoh Djoser’s burial place.

City of Memphis

Under the guardianship of the deity Ptah, the patron of craftsmanship and creation, Memphis city was raised from the ashes of the Egyptian Sahara in the 31st century BC to become the first capital of ancient Egypt. The contemporary term “Egypt” is derived from the Greek name for Memphis, “Aigyptos.”

The whole family will return to their hotel in Cairo at the end of the day to spend the night.

breakfast and lunch

Day 3: Travel to the fascinating City of Alexandria

After breakfast, the whole family will go to the charming city of Alexandria with their tour guide in a private A/C vehicle to explore:

Kom El Shoqafa’s catacombs

An old marvel from the Middle Ages, the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa date back to the 2nd century BC. It’s a three-story Greco-Roman single-family mausoleum with exquisite embellishments and a Caracalla hall from the early Roman and Hellenistic periods.

Pompey’s Pillar

The 33.85 m-tall, granite Pompey pillar, a marvel to visitors, was built in 300 AD for Roman Emperor Diocletian.

The Qaitbay Citadel, an Islamic landmark on the Mediterranean Sea coast, was constructed in 1447 AD by Al-Ashraf Sayf al-Din Qa’it Bay on the same site where the Lighthouse of Alexandria stood in antiquity.

The whole family will have lunch at a neighborhood eatery in Alexandria before traveling to:

Temple of Edfu

One of Aswan’s most beautiful and well-preserved temples is the Edfu Temple, home of the sky falcon deity Horus of protection and triumph. To preserve the memory of the tragic conflict between Horus and Set, it was constructed between 237 BC and 57 BC during the Ptolemaic dynasty.

Over more than 1500 years, from the Middle Kingdom (c. 2000–1700 BCE) through the Ptolemaic Kingdom (c. 305–30 BCE), the holy Karnak Temple Complex was built, becoming the focal point of ancient Egypt’s religious life. It is the largest outdoor museum and is home to the Great Hypostyle Hall, and several Amun-Re and Mut precincts, among other things.

The whole family will depart for lunch at a restaurant in Luxor, settle into their 5-star hotel, and then travel in the evening to the following locations:

Luxor Temple by Night

In 1400 BC, the Luxor Temple was built to serve as a venue for festivals and the coronation of monarchs like Amenhotep III and Ramses the Great. The Opet festival was conducted for the revival of royalty and the blessings of the gods during the New Kingdom (1570–1050 BC). It is connected to the magnificent Karnak Temples complex by the huge Avenue of Sphinxes.

AMAZING TOUR, SOLO TRAVELER.

October 12, 2024

I am a California woman who traveled to Egypt alone and thanks to Egypt Fun Tours I had a great time. Hani, Mohammed, Kamal and David (my driver) were very professional and very knowledgeable, I appreciate how respectful they were and how protective they were with me.

They show me everything I wanted to see in Cairo and nearby places like Saqqara, Memphis, etc. Thanks to them I had a great time in Egypt, they were so so helpful than on my second day they helped me to move from my hotel in Giza to the Steigenberger hotel in downtown Cairo.

The tour price is super good includes a guide (expert in the field) a driver, lunch and drinks, they took me to amazing places for lunch, the food was super super delicious, for a foodie like me that was a highlight. We went out fo the tourist traps and I got to see the Cairo that if you are in a bus tour you will never get to see.

This tour is personalized for each person depending of what you want to see and do, I absolutely love it.

I used WhatsApp to communicate with Hani and arranged all my tours, Hani was super super nice since the moment I contacted him and explained him what I wanted to do and see.

Hani and his group mesmerized me with the tours they put together, this is a memory I will keep for lifetime.

I had only good things to say about them and I highly recommend them.

I did visit the pyramids in Giza, downtown Cairo, new Cairo, several museums, Coptic Cairo and Muslim Cairo with them and I learned a lot from them, I felt like they were family to me and it was EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT.

If I go back to Egypt I will hire them again without hesitation.

David I take my hat off for you because I have NO IDEA how you can drive in crazy Cairo, thanks to all of you for making this lady’s dream a reality.

My Dream Came True

October 12, 2024

I had waited 60 years to get to Egypt, in fact it was my 60th birthday gift to myself. I went with my oldest daughter and the experience was excellent. It was meticulously planned by the tour company and was designed for me and my daughter. I never had a minute where I was concerned. We were met by a tour rep at the airport and every step of the way. The guides were beyond expectations. Mydo the best tour guide of Egypt was excellent and very knowledgeable. Tarek our guide for the south, was equally as knowledgeable. I can’t say enough about both. Hani the tour director is the greatest, personable and so very helpful and truly cares that you have the best experience of your life. It was a dream come true. All the holidays we stayed at were 5 star in my opinion. I don’t have a bad word to say about this tour company. My daughter and I were treated exceptionally well by all and by all in Egypt
