Tour Itinerary

Detailed itinerary of the 4-Day Standard Cairo Tour Package

Day 1: Arrive at Cairo Airport: Our “Egypt Fun Tours” representative will help you with passport control procedures and the identification and carrying of your bags when you arrive at Cairo airport. You will start your Cairo tour packages with a dinner cruise on the enchanted Nile River after being driven from the airport to your hotel in a private air-conditioned vehicle to check in. You may sit back, unwind, and take in a vibrant belly dance performance with a folklore band that includes the iconic Tannoura spin in line with Egypt’s whirling dervishes heritage. After the performance, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel for the night.

Day 2: a trip to the Pyramids of Egypt: You will enjoy breakfast in the morning before joining your tour guide to view the magnificent monument of ancient Egypt and the last remaining example of one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World:

Giza Pyramids Complex: the three main Pyramids, the six smaller Pyramids, the Great Sphinx, the only guardian, and the valley temple, all of which date back more than 4,000 years and were built to ascend to the heavens with the ancient Egyptian Gods and preserve their culture and legacy until the end of time.

The Great Pyramid: It is one of the biggest and oldest buildings in the whole world, the first of its type, and was erected by King Khufu to usher in the Golden Age of Egyptian architecture. The Great Pyramid is 4500 years old and was built in 2580 BC. It took 20 years and 2,300,000 pieces of limestone to construct. Its height of 147 meters (481 feet) made it the highest structure in existence for 3800 years until the Lincoln Cathedral in England was built in 1311. Due to the pyramid’s sophisticated interior relative to its size, it is shrouded in mystery and far-fetched ideas.

The Great Sphinx: The Sphinx is the oldest statue known to man, and it continues to inspire tourists, poets, and visitors to this day since so much mystery still surrounds the location. It is 73 meters (240 feet) tall, 19 meters (66 feet) wide, and is shaped like the fabled monster known as the Sphinx, which has a lion’s body and a man’s head (perhaps King Khafre) as a sign of strength and wisdom.

The Valley Temple: It is the location of the amazing Mummification Process, which dates back to the Old Kingdom of Egypt. It is one of the best-preserved constructions from the era of ancient Egypt. It is composed completely of limestone and granite and has magnificent Chephren diorite figures.

Proceed to a neighborhood eatery in Cairo for lunch. Next, go to visit:

Step Pyramid of Saqqara: You will be able to see the original pyramid, which marked the beginning of the Golden Age of Construction. It was constructed by the fabled Imhotep, vizier of Pharaoh Djoser. With six stairs and a height of 62 meters, it has a distinctive design. The Saqqara Step Pyramid is encircled by a complex, the first of its type, that includes stunning ornamentation and opulent ceremonial buildings. Visit the first Egyptian capital to round up your tour of the Pyramids:

City of Memphis: King Menes constructed the city, which serves as Egypt’s first recognized capital, as the hub of the two nations. It is renowned for being the home of the deity Ptah, the patron of creation and the arts, and for being a place of beauty and endurance. The city of Memphis is home to several ancient Egyptian remains going back more than 4,000 years, including those of Ramses II and huge temples to the gods Aton and Hathor.

Finally, we return you to your hotel via car.

Day 3: A tour of the historic sites of Cairo: Following breakfast, you will enter Cairo’s center to finish your tour packages and experience all of its sights with your guide. You will begin by seeing:

The Egyptian Museum: One of the largest museums in the world, the Egyptian Museum is home to many magnificent items and structures that date back more than 4,000 years, representing a wide range of historical eras, including ancient Egyptian, Greek, Coptic, and Islamic. Some of the most famous figures in ancient Egyptian history had several mummies. More than 150,000 real, unique items, including sculptures, jewels, and urns like King Tutankhamun’s treasures, are produced from pricey materials like gold or jewelry to more affordable ones like wood or stone.

Lunch will be provided at a neighborhood eatery in Cairo, after which you’ll go to:

Citadel of Salah El Din: Since the great conqueror Salah El-Din finished its construction in 1182 AD, the Cairo Citadel, also known as the Cairo Fortress, has watched over the whole city of Cairo. By the end of the 19th century, it had become the seat of the government and a formidable bastion against the French invasion of Napoleon and the Crusaders. All of Ancient Egypt’s most important events were seen in the fortress.

Mosque of Mohamed Ali: Also known as “The Alabaster Mosque,” it is a magnificent piece of art. Between 1830 and 1848 AD, it was built to be a duplicate of the blue mosque in Istanbul and serve as a protest against the Ottoman Empire. The Mohamed Ali Mosque is very beautiful with its ottoman-style architecture and French rococo influences, as well as its intricate crimson, green, and gold finishes and a large dome.

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization: The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) is a mystical gateway to Egypt’s eternal legacy, which will be revealed via the amazing artifacts and monuments that date back more than 4,000 years, exposing both Egypt’s physical and intangible culture and history.

Market in Khan El Khalili: Given that Khan El Khalili is the oldest market in the area and dates back to 970 AD, it has earned the nickname “the golden brick road of the Middle East.” The street is still in use today and has everything a traveler might want in addition to all the lovely cafes and stores that have been there for hundreds of years. The beautiful Islamic buildings and street decorations are all-alluring and are still in fantastic shape today.

We will transport you to the hotel for the night after the day.

Day 4: Complete Your 4-Day Standard Cairo Tour Package: Your Cairo tour packages will come to an end on the fourth and final day when our representative transfers you to the Cairo airport so you can securely fly home.

What People Say About Us
5/5

Thank you Egypt Fun Tours for a most memorable trip. I admit I didn’t do any of the planning (it was all done by my boyfriend) but as you can read in the reviews below Hani (the owner of Egypt Fun Tours) is superbly organized and accommodating with scheduling.

My boyfriend and I, and our dearest mutual friend, booked the 7Days-6Nights tour. In short time, we visited Cairo, Aswan, and Luxor sailing down the down the Nile, pit stopping to see key sites at these location – and so much more!!! We got to know the ancient and modern egypt in depth thanks to Hani’s impressive knowledge. He also enlightened us on the people and their beliefs and went as far as showing us what a typical life looks like. I cannot express the level of personalized service Hani offered us. He was flexible to adapt to our requirements and added sites to our schedule that was not part of the tour simply to ensure we were 100% satisfied with our experience in Egypt.

I went to Egypt practically blind-folded, not knowing what to expect, especially considering the time we had decided to go (December 2020 – we were the first group that Hani met with after months of having to put his tour agency on hold considering the pandemic) yet he managed to surpass all of our expectations. I felt so incredibly lucky for us to have stumbled on Hani. I would recommend Egypt Fun Tours to anyone and everyone. It was truly, HANDS DOWN, the best cultural experience I’ve ever had. You’ll be in the best of hands.

Nille cruise,Luxor and Aswan where amazing sites to see, specially when you have with you the best tour guide in Egypt .Hamada was absolutely fantastic, lots of information and some of them not spoken by others. This guy was not only a simple tour guide for us, he became a good friend also. Was a one in lifetime experience. Highly recommend Fun Tours. Really a great experience.

Hamada was incredible! So knowledgeable and kind. He had information about every item, street corner, and relic we looked at. Any questions we had, he had answers! He even made sure to give us tips while walking through the crowds so that’s we would feel more comfortable when being approached by vendors. Oh and the food?! He took us to the best places! Delicious food!! We tried Egyptian fried chicken, falafel for the first time, the best shawarma in the city (we love food). We even got to meet his beautiful wife and children and try some “French” Egyptian coffee in their home! Truly made friends for life!! We’ve promised to host him and the family when they travel to America for the first time! Such an incredible experience, and Hamada (and family) made it that much more memorable and amazing!

Excellent trip to historic sites with no one else around. We came to see Egypt while most places still had COVID19 fears. The staff at Egypt Fun Tours were professional, safe, and great to deal with. Very helpful, knowledgeable, and entertaining. I feel like I just got a a year of Egyptology in the last week and we had all the sites to ourselves due to COVID19. While people are shutting down and staying home you should feel safe to come explore with Egypt Fun Tours and have the place to yourself.
