Egyptian Desert Expedition: White Desert & El Fayoum Oasis

Tour Itinerary

6-Day Cairo and Desert Safari Adventure Itinerary

1st day: Cairo Arrival

Upon arrival at Cairo airport, you’ll be greeted by an Egypt Fun Tours representative who will assist with customs. You’ll be transferred to your hotel in a modern A/C vehicle. Overnight in Cairo.

2nd day: Pyramids, Sphinx, Egyptian Museum & Bazaars

After breakfast, explore the iconic Pyramids of Giza, including the Great Pyramid of Cheops and the Sphinx. Optionally visit the Papyrus Institute and nearby shops. Next, tour the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, housing over 120,000 artifacts. Conclude the day with a visit to the famous Khan El Khalili bazaar. Return to the hotel for the night.

3rd day: Cairo – Bahariya Oasis

After breakfast, check out and head to Bahariya Oasis. Enjoy a local lunch in a Bedouin village, then embark on an off-road adventure through the Black Desert and visit the Crystal Mountains. Explore the old White Desert’s mushroom-shaped rock formations before setting up camp in the new White Desert, where a barbecue dinner awaits. Overnight camping.

Day 4: White Desert, Cairo

Enjoy breakfast in the White Desert before returning to Bahariya Oasis and then back to Cairo, with a stop for refreshments along the way. Check-in at your hotel upon arrival and overnight.

5th day: El-Fayoum Oasis & Wadi El-Hitan Adventure

After breakfast, head to El-Fayoum. Visit Lake Qarun and Tunis village to see local pottery. Explore Wadi El-Hitan, home to whale fossils and two museums. Enjoy a local lunch before visiting Mudawara Mountain for stunning views and ending the day at Wadi El-Rayan to see waterfalls and a beautiful sunset. Return to Cairo for the night.

Last day: Final Departure

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Cairo International Airport for your departure.
