Day 2: Immerse Yourself in the Rich History of the Pyramids
Begin your day with breakfast. Afterward, check out of your hotel. Then, you’ll meet your private tour guide to embark on a legendary journey through some of the world’s most impressive historical sites, including:
Giza Pyramids Complex:
Built 4,600 years ago, the Giza Pyramids await your visit. This complex includes the three main pyramids, six smaller pyramids, the glorious Sphinx, and the House of Eternity Valley Temple. Additionally, the area is loaded with noble tombs and other monuments.
The Great Pyramid:
The Great Pyramid of Khufu is the last of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still standing. Constructed in 2580 BC by 100,000 skilled workers, it consists of 2.3 million limestone blocks, each weighing around 2.5 tons. At 147 meters (481 feet) tall, it held the title of the tallest building in the world for 3,800 years. The Great Pyramid remains a stunning feat of engineering with its intricate interior structure.
The Sphinx has inspired artists and poets for centuries. Its origins remain a mystery, but it resembles a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a man, likely representing King Khafre, symbolizing power and wisdom.
The Valley Temple:
This site played a crucial role in the mummification process, which ancient Egyptians believed granted eternal life. Constructed during the Old Kingdom (2686-2134 BC), the Valley Temple is one of the best-preserved archaeological sites, offering insight into ancient Egyptian burial practices. After your exploration, enjoy a lavish lunch at a restaurant with a view of the Pyramids and the Nile. Following lunch, visit:
The Egyptian Museum:
This museum showcases the fascinating beauty of ancient Egypt. It houses the world’s most extensive collection of ancient artifacts and monuments, some dating back over 4,500 years. Inside the two-story building, you will find over 120,000 artifacts, including gold and gem-encrusted treasures, statues, funerary objects, and famous items like the treasures of Yuya and Thuya, the Narmer palette, and several mummies.
Later, you’ll head to Cairo airport for your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, transfer you to the Nile Cruise ship and check in.
Day 3: Let the Beauty of Aswan Feed Your Soul
Your day in Aswan begins with breakfast on the cruise. Afterward, meet your Egyptologist tour guide to explore the sights.
High Dam in Aswan:
The High Dam, constructed between 1960 and 1970, is the only modern attraction in Aswan. This dam, built in collaboration with the Moscow-based Hydro Project Institute, controls flooding from the Nile, generates hydroelectric power, and allows the Lake Nasser reservoir to hold more water for irrigation.
The Unfinished Obelisk:
Queen Hatshepsut commissioned this obelisk, intended to stand at the entrance of Karnak Temple. Known as “Tekhenu,” meaning “to cut through the sky,” this monument is significant for demonstrating the construction process of obelisks. Measuring 42 meters in height and weighing 1,200 tons, it remains in its original location due to a break during construction.
The Temple of Philae is a crown jewel of Aswan, rich in ancient Egyptian mythology. Its walls depict the “Myth of Osiris,” detailing the murder of Osiris by his brother Set, the god of chaos. Osiris’s resurrection leads to his role as the ruler of the underworld, while their son Horus defeats Set, ushering in an era of peace and justice. After the construction of the Aswan High Dam, UNESCO led a mission to save and relocate the temple to Agilkia Island in the 1960s.
Enjoy a peaceful evening under the starry sky above the Nile as you savor a delicious dinner and spend the night on the cruise.
Day 4: Visit the Temples of Kom Ombo and Edfu
Start your day with breakfast, then head to:
Kom Ombo Temple:
Built during the Greco-Roman period between 205 BC and 180 BC, this temple is known as “The Hill of Gold.” It features a unique double design, divided into two identical parts—one dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and the other to the falcon sky god Horus.
Continue sailing until you reach:
Edfu Temple:
Constructed during the Ptolemaic era (237 BC to 57 BC), Edfu Temple served as the official place of worship for the falcon god Horus. It is one of the last temples built in ancient Egypt. According to the Osiris Myth, it stands on the exact site of the battle between Set and Horus.
Discovered by French Egyptologist Auguste Mariette in 1860, the Edfu Temple beautifully combines Greek and Egyptian architectural styles.
After your visit, continue sailing until you reach the city of Luxor. You will arrive at night and spend the night on board the cruise.
Day 5: Treasures of Luxor: Live Out a Fairy Tale
After enjoying breakfast, check out of your luxury cruise. Then, your tour guide will meet you, and together you’ll travel in a private air-conditioned vehicle to explore some of the best tourist spots in Luxor, including:
The Valley of the Kings:

Notable pharaohs buried here include Rameses I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, IX, and X, Amenhotep I, Hatshepsut, and the famous boy king Tutankhamun.
Temple of Hatshepsut:
This temple is a stunning example of beauty and style. Known as Djoser-Djeseru (Holy of Holies), it represents the grandeur of the New Kingdom and the vision of Queen Hatshepsut, one of ancient Egypt’s most powerful rulers. Planned in 1479 BC, the temple took 15 years to build. Its design features three levels connected by two wide ramps and showcases impressive statues, artifacts, and monuments
.Afterward, enjoy lunch at a great restaurant in Luxor. Then, meet up with your tour guide to conclude your Luxor tour with a visit to:
The Colossi of Memnon are two massive blocks of quartzite sandstone representing Pharaoh Amenhotep III. Each statue stands 18 meters (60 feet) tall and weighs 720 tons. Built between 1386 and 1350 BC, these statues were damaged by a great earthquake in 27 BC but were restored in 199 AD. During the Greco-Roman era, they gained fame for the “Vocal Memnon,” as they sometimes produced sounds at dawn due to the wind.
Karnak Temple:
Karnak Temple is one of the holiest places in the world and is among the largest religious buildings ever constructed. Known as Ipet-isu, meaning “the most chosen place,” and Pr-Imn, meaning “the house of Amun,” it is over 4,000 years old and served as the religious center for ancient Egypt for more than 1,500 years. The temple primarily honors the Theban triad: God Amun, his wife Goddess Mut, and their son Khonsu, along with other deities like Osiris, Montu, Ptah, and Isis.
