9 Days Egypt Tour Itinerary to The Highlights of Egypt itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Egypt: Welcome to the “Land of the Pharaohs.” Our representative will greet you at the Cairo airport, assist you with the passport requirements, and then drive you in a private, air-conditioned vehicle to a 5-star hotel in Cairo so you can check in.

Your tour guide will be with you as you enjoy a dinner cruise with a view of the Nile in the evening. You will then go back to the hotel for the night.

Day 2: Explore the Giza Pyramids: After breakfast at your hotel, meet your tour guide to begin your nine-day journey across Egypt by gazing at one of the seven wonders of the world:

Egyptian Pyramids in Giza

Explore the vast ancient Egyptian civilization on the Giza plateau, capture some historical images there, and let the greatness and strength of the Egyptian pharaohs liberate your spirit. Six smaller pyramids, the large sphinx, the Valley Temple, and three major pyramids make up the complex. The structure is 2400 years old, from the 4th dynasty.

The Great Pyramid

The only preserved pyramid among the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, it is the oldest and biggest of the three pyramids on the Giza plateau. King Khufu owns the Pyramid. The great pyramid is 147 meters tall, was erected over 20 years, and 2,300,000 stones were utilized in its construction. One of the greatest accomplishments of the ancient Egyptians was this.

The Great Sphinx

The Sphinx, which is owned by King Chephren and is 73 meters long, 19 meters broad, and 20 meters tall, is the biggest statue in the world. The monument has the earliest known sculpture in it. It was constructed because the ancient Egyptians thought it would make them dread their enemies and keep the three Pyramids safe.

The Valley Temple

The sole one still standing on the Giza plateau is a granite funerary temple that the Ancient Egyptians used for the mummification process.

Your lunch will be provided at a Cairo restaurant when your trip to see the Giza Pyramids has concluded. Next, go to Egypt’s ancient pyramids.

Step Pyramid of Saqqara

The Sakkara step pyramid is made up of 6 steps that are stacked on top of one another and have a height of 62 meters. It is regarded as the first large-scale cut-stone building and dates back to the time of King Djoser, who ruled Egypt in the 27th century B.C.

We will then return you to your hotel in Cairo so you may spend the night there.

Day 3: Visit the Attractions in Alexandria

After breakfast, get ready for a new experience as you travel in a private A/C vehicle with your Egyptologist tour guide to see the most well-known Alexandria tourist sights, beginning with:

Kom El Shoqafa’s catacombs

a Roman cemetery where a family tomb exhibits the fusion of Roman and Egyptian design. To see the tomb and Caracalla Hall, go underground.

Return to the surface and continue your visit:

Pompey’s Pillar

a 25-meter-tall (82-foot) granite column erected as a monument to Emperor Diocletian, who liberated the besieged city and provided food for its hungry citizens.

Citadel of Qaitbay

On the Mediterranean seashore, a castle from the fifteenth century. Sultan Al-Ashraf Qa’id Bay founded it in the year 1477. Pharos Island and Qaitbay Citadel are both located in the same area.

We’ll have lunch at a seafood restaurant before going to see:

Alexandria Library

The library is one of the world’s greatest literary institutions since it has copies of every book ever written. The Alexandria Library also has several displays of Egyptian history as well as a collection of priceless old books.

We will return you to your hotel in Cairo so you may spend the night there.

Day 4: Fly to Aswan, see the city’s attractions, and board the ship: Enjoy your breakfast in the morning, check out of the hotel, and then we’ll take you to the Cairo airport to catch your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, continue your nine-day Egypt trip with a visit to some of Aswan’s most well-known sights, beginning with:

The High Dam

It was erected over the Nile River at Aswan between 1960 and 1970, and its construction has had a profound impact on Egypt’s economy and culture.

The Unfinished Obelisk

It was built by Queen Hatshepsut (1508 1458 BC) to accompany the Lateran Obelisk, which was initially located at Karnak and was eventually transported to the Lateran Palace in Rome. It was the biggest obelisk in antiquity.

Temple of Philae

Isis, the goddess of love and beauty, is honored in the Philae Temple. As part of the UNESCO Nubia Campaign initiative, the temple complex was disassembled and moved to the adjacent island of Agilkia Island to safeguard it and other sites before the Aswan High Dam was finished in 1970.

After work, take a 5-star luxury Nile cruise for lunch and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Go to the Kom Ombo Temple.

Early in the morning, meet with your tour guide and travel to:

Temple of Kom Ombo

The Kom Ombo Temple looks out over the Nile. This temple is split into two separate temples, each having its entrance, hypostyle Hall, and sanctuaries.

Day 6: Visit Edfu Temple:

Temple in Edfu

Honoring the god Horus. The Edfu Temple is the most well-preserved Greco-Roman structure in all of Egypt, and a play depicting the victory of Horus over Seth is painted on its walls.

After noon, set sail for Luxor; upon arrival, stay overnight on board.

Day 7: Visit Luxor attractions: After breakfast, check out of the ship. Your tour guide and a private air-conditioned car will then accompany you as you finish your 9-day Egypt trip schedule by seeing the major sites in Luxor, beginning at:

The Kings’ Valley

It is one of the most popular Egypt tourist destinations and the last resting place of Egypt’s kings from the 18th to the 20th dynasties. Tombs here include those of Ramses II and Tutankhamun. The tombs were fully furnished with everything a monarch may want in the afterlife in terms of material things. The majority of the interior decorations are still in good condition. During your travel to Egypt, you must see the Valley of the Kings.

Temple of Hatshepsut

One of the most stunning and well-preserved of all the Egyptian temples is Queen Hatshepsut Temple. The temple was constructed on three levels, connected by two large ramps in the middle.

Memnon’s Colossi

The sole remnants of a full funerary temple are two enormous stone sculptures of King Amenhotep III. The sculptures are constructed from quartzite sandstone stones that were originally found in Cairo and transported 700 km to Luxor.

After that, go to a nearby island for lunch so that your tour will also include a boat ride down the Nile River. Finish your adventure with a visit to:

Temple of Karnak

The Karnak Temple is the most spectacular landmark in Egypt. It is the biggest complex of temples ever constructed by humans. It stands for the culmination of the work of countless pharaohs and ancient architects. Three major temples make up the Temple of Karnak, which is spread over 247 acres of land.

Transfer to a 5-star hotel in Luxor to check in and spend the night, then.

Day 8: Visit the Egyptian Museum and other Old Cairo sites

After having breakfast at the hotel, check out and make your way to the airport in Luxor to take a flight to Cairo. Once there, accompany your Egyptologist tour guide to explore the city’s top sites, beginning with:

The Egyptian Museum

5000 years of art are on exhibit at the Egyptian Museum. There are more than 250,000 authentic objects on display, including a display of Tutankhamun’s collection of gold, jewels, and treasures that was kept safe in his tomb for more than 3,500 years.

In Cairo, lunch will be provided in a neighborhood eatery before visiting:

Mosque of Amr Ibn Al Aas

The Amr Ibn Alas Mosque, which was constructed in 642 A.D., is the earliest mosque ever constructed, not only in Egypt but also in all of Africa. Nothing of the original structure survives since it has undergone considerable rebuilding throughout the years.

The Hanging Church

It was built in the third century AD, making it one of Egypt’s oldest churches. The Hanging Church gave this church its name since it was constructed over the Babylon Fortress.

Synagogue of Ben Ezra

The oldest synagogue still standing in Egypt was built in a fourth-century church and dates back to the ninth century. Ben Ezra later purchased it when the Copts were compelled to sell to pay taxes. The renowned Geniza Documents were found in the basement of the synagogue.

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization

To completely discover all of Egypt’s cultural and historical treasures, which take the form of unique, captivating artifacts and monuments, the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) is the miracle that everyone has been waiting for.

Market in Khan El Khalili

The oldest and most renowned market in the Middle East, Khan El-Khalili, must be visited on every trip to Cairo. It was built around 970 AD, the same year Cairo was established.

Transfer back to your hotel in Cairo for the night after the day.

Day 9: Return Home via Air: After having breakfast at the hotel, you will check out before being driven in an air-conditioned vehicle to Cairo International Airport to catch your flight home and conclude your trip to Egypt.

Wonderful tour with the guide Hamada. I did not feel rushed at all, he explained a lot of facts about the city, the mosque , the water storage room, and also brought me to no hassle shops. He picked a great place to eat and have Turkish coffee and a cold lemon mint drink. We took a took took when we got tired from walking. He also happens to be a great photographer and helped take beautiful pictures. Overall a wonderful tour and great experience.
