Day 2: Examine Giza’s Stellar Attractions: The entire group will eat breakfast together in the morning before setting out on their group vacation tour with their tour guide in a private A/C vehicle, beginning with:

Giza Pyramids Complex

The otherworldly Giza pyramids complex, which has been around for more than 5000 years, is known for housing some of the finest structures ever constructed in human history, including:

The Great Pyramid of Giza

The Khufu pyramid, which stands 147 meters (481 feet) tall and weighs 5.7 million tonnes overall, was constructed in 2580 BC as the pharaoh Khufu’s eternal tomb. It contains a variety of high-tech chambers, including the great hall, the king’s chamber, the queen’s chamber, and others. It is well known for being the only remaining example of one of the seven wonders.

The Great Sphinx of Giza

The Sphinx of Khafre (2558–2532 BC), the world’s oldest statue and a living work of art, was built in 2500 BC and was carved from a single block of limestone to resemble a lion and Khafre’s face. A highly unique artifact was discovered in front of the sphinx: the Thutmose IV dream Steele, which was built around 1404 BC.

The Valley Temple

The remarkable Valley temple was built during the Old Kingdom (2686–2134 BC) to mummify the deceased bodies of the 4th dynasty of kings and queens.

After enjoying lunch with a breathtaking view of the Pyramids and the Nile, the complete party will go with their tour guide to the following locations:

Memphis City

Under the exclusive divine protection of Ptah, the god of craftsmanship and art, the extraordinary city of Memphis was constructed in 2925 BC by Pharaoh Menes to establish the first-ever capital of Egypt.

Step Pyramid of Saqqara

The magnificent Saqqara step pyramid, built for Pharaoh Djoser as a divine miracle by the vizier Imhotep, marked the beginning of the golden age of pyramid building between 2670 and 2650 BC.

The group’s Egypt vacation will continue by traveling to the airport in Cairo to board a flight to Aswan, where our staff will drive everyone to a five-star hotel for the night.

The Unfinished Obelisk

Originally intended to reach a height of 42 meters, Queen Hatshepsut’s obelisk (1508–1458 BC) was tragically damaged during the carving process.

After lunch, the party will depart with their tour guide to begin their collective exploration of Egypt.

Temple of Philae

The celestial Philae temple was built to commemorate the remarkable story of Isis, the goddess of motherhood and the wife of both Horus and Osiris in the Ptolemaic era’s 7th century BC. To safeguard it from flooding, UNESCO was relocated from Agilkia Island in the 1960s.

Temples of Abu Simbel

Ramses the Great (1303–1213 BC) wanted to immortalize his accomplishments, which included winning the crucial battle of Kadesh that led to the signing of the first known peace treaty in history, so he had the magnificent grand temples of Abu Simbel built in his honor. The ancient Egyptian gods Amun, Ra Horakhty, Ptah, and Ramsess himself are honored in Abu Simbel on February 22 and October 22 during the solar festival.

The Egypt group tour will continue after lunch when everyone will board a train for Luxor, where they will check into a five-star hotel and spend the night.

The Theban triad, which comprises Amun, Khunso, and Mut together with several other ancient Egyptian deities, was the primary focus of its construction.

Everyone in the group will eat lunch at a wonderful local restaurant before continuing their Egypt trip by night with their knowledgeable tour guide and learning about:

Temple of Luxor

The magnificent Luxor Temple, also known as the southern sanctuary, was built under the new dynasty in 1400 BC and is a center of kingship and divinity. It was constructed to celebrate the fabled Opet festival and the holy Theban triad. The avenue of Sphinxes connects the temple to the Karnak temple.

To save 63 mystical tombs belonging to famous kings like Seti I, Hatshepsut, Ramses II, Tutankhamun, and many others, the wondrous Valley of the Kings was built in the new kingdom approximately 500 years from the 6th to the 11th century BC.

Temple of Hatshepsut

In 1479 BC, the stunning Hatshepsut temple’s holiest of holies was built in her honor as well as that of the deity Amun, as she was the latter’s high priestess and husband. In the field of classical architecture from ancient Egypt, it is regarded as a magnificent jewel.

The party will all eat lunch together at a restaurant in Luxor before continuing their tour by going to:

Memnon’s Colossi

The two remaining sculptures are 18 m (60 ft) tall and feature the face of King Amenhotep III (1386 BC–1350 BC), and they are constructed of quartzite.

What People Say About Us

Thank you Egypt Fun Tours for a most memorable trip. I admit I didn’t do any of the planning (it was all done by my boyfriend) but as you can read in the reviews below Hani (the owner of Egypt Fun Tours) is superbly organized and accommodating with scheduling.

My boyfriend and I, and our dearest mutual friend, booked the 7Days-6Nights tour. In short time, we visited Cairo, Aswan, and Luxor sailing down the down the Nile, pit stopping to see key sites at these location – and so much more!!! We got to know the ancient and modern egypt in depth thanks to Hani’s impressive knowledge. He also enlightened us on the people and their beliefs and went as far as showing us what a typical life looks like. I cannot express the level of personalized service Hani offered us. He was flexible to adapt to our requirements and added sites to our schedule that was not part of the tour simply to ensure we were 100% satisfied with our experience in Egypt.

I went to Egypt practically blind-folded, not knowing what to expect, especially considering the time we had decided to go (December 2020 – we were the first group that Hani met with after months of having to put his tour agency on hold considering the pandemic) yet he managed to surpass all of our expectations. I felt so incredibly lucky for us to have stumbled on Hani. I would recommend Egypt Fun Tours to anyone and everyone. It was truly, HANDS DOWN, the best cultural experience I’ve ever had. You’ll be in the best of hands.

Hamada was incredible! So knowledgeable and kind. He had information about every item, street corner, and relic we looked at. Any questions we had, he had answers! He even made sure to give us tips while walking through the crowds so that’s we would feel more comfortable when being approached by vendors. Oh and the food?! He took us to the best places! Delicious food!! We tried Egyptian fried chicken, falafel for the first time, the best shawarma in the city (we love food). We even got to meet his beautiful wife and children and try some “French” Egyptian coffee in their home! Truly made friends for life!! We’ve promised to host him and the family when they travel to America for the first time! Such an incredible experience, and Hamada (and family) made it that much more memorable and amazing!

Excellent trip to historic sites with no one else around. We came to see Egypt while most places still had COVID19 fears. The staff at Egypt Fun Tours were professional, safe, and great to deal with. Very helpful, knowledgeable, and entertaining. I feel like I just got a a year of Egyptology in the last week and we had all the sites to ourselves due to COVID19. While people are shutting down and staying home you should feel safe to come explore with Egypt Fun Tours and have the place to yourself.
