Wonderful Luxor Tours from Safaga for 2 Days

Our two-day Luxor tour from Safaga is golden. You will visit the world’s biggest open-air museum. Enjoy Luxor’s top sights. See the Karnak and Luxor Temples. Experience the Sound and Light Show at Karnak. Learn about ancient Egypt. You’ll stay overnight at a 5-star hotel. The next day, visit the Valley of the Kings. See Hatshepsut Temple and the Colossi of Memnon. Then, return to Safaga Port.

Day 1: Explore Luxor’s East Bank

First, we’ll transfer you from Safaga Port in a private, modern, air-conditioned car. Then, your two-day tour from Safaga to Luxor begins with a visit to the Karnak Temple.

Karnak Temple

The Karnak Temple complex symbolizes the ancient Egyptians’ divine blessing. Between 2000 BC and 30 BC, builders constructed it on 247 acres to honor the Theban triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu, along with several other ancient Egyptian deities. The mesmerizing Avenue of Sphinxes and Hypostyle Hall are the temple’s most recognized and beautiful features.

Luxor Temple

Next, you’ll discover the Luxor Temple. Also known as the Southern Sanctuary, the incredible Temple of Luxor embodies royal allure and divine grace. In 1400 BC, creators built it as a center for celebration, dedicating it to the Theban triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. It also served as the main headquarters for the Opet festival, which celebrates the rejuvenation of kingship.

Afterward, we’ll serve you lunch on an island, which includes a boat trip. Then, you’ll check into your 5-star hotel to refresh yourself. Later, we’ll pick you up again to enjoy the Sound and Light Show at Karnak.

Sound and Light Show

The show starts with a historical introduction, covering the birth of the great city of Thebes and the erection of the Karnak Temple. As you listen to a magnificent and poetic description of the artistic treasures and great legacy within the Karnak Temple, the show narrates the glorious achievements of some great Pharaohs. Finally, you’ll return to your hotel in Luxor for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Discover Luxor’s West Bank

First, enjoy your breakfast and check out from your hotel. Then, your private tour guide and a private, air-conditioned vehicle will accompany you as you continue your tour from Safaga to Luxor, visiting the Valley of the Kings.

Valley of the Kings

The divine Valley of the Kings emerged during the New Kingdom (1570 – 1050 BC). It contains 63 royal tombs, narrating the golden heritage and preserving the treasures of great Pharaohs like Ramses the Great, Hatshepsut, Seti I, Tutankhamun, and many others.

Hatshepsut’s temple

Next, you’ll explore Hatshepsut Temple. Carved into the Deir El Bahari mountain hills in 1479 BC, the mythical holy of holies temple of Queen Hatshepsut (1507–1458 BC) honors the creator sun god Amun and immortalizes Hatshepsut’s great legacy. The temple is known worldwide as one of the most preserved architectural constructions on Earth.

Colossi of Memnon

Finally, you’ll see the Colossi of Memnon. Builders created the eternal Colossi of Memnon of Pharaoh Amenhotep III (1386 – 1349 BC) as giant statues in 1350 BC, intended for the biggest construction project in history, which never came to be. The two statues hold important historical decorations on their sides; they were broken and reassembled many times throughout history. You’ll have your lunch at a Nile View restaurant before we drive you back to Safaga Port, ending your two-day tour from Safaga to Luxor.
