The Museum Exhibits

The museum’s collections are displayed in a core permanent exhibition of the principal achievements of Egyptian civilization. Shortly, it will have six thematic galleries covering the Dawn of Civilization: The Nile, Writing, State and Society, Material Culture, Beliefs and Thinking, and the Gallery of Royal Mummies. As for now, there is only one big hall, the textiles display, and the mummies exhibit.

To begin, Egypt Fun Tours’ tour guide will meet you at the lobby of your hotel (in Cairo or Giza). Then, you will be transferred by our private air-conditioned vehicle to the area of Old Cairo, known by the name Al-Fustat, near the Babylon Roman Fortress and overlooking Ain El-Seera Lake to enjoy a great experience visiting the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization.

To emphasize, the museum accommodates one of the most important and most extensive collections of antiquities in the world, relating the stages of the development of Egyptian civilization from the earliest times to the modern era.

Main Display

The museum has a permanent major exhibition that deals with the most significant achievements of Egyptian civilization. Additionally, it also includes spaces for temporary exhibitions as well as an exhibition on the development of modern Cairo. Moreover, the museum covers service, commercial, and recreational buildings and is a research center for the science of ancient materials and restoration.
