Wonderful Tour to The NMEC & Royal Mummies Exhibit

Discover the amazing wonders of ancient and modern Egypt through this tour of the NMEC and Royal Mummies Exhibit. The NMEC is located on the archaeological site of El-Fustat in Old Cairo, overlooking the Ain El-Seera Lake. Egyptian architect El Ghazzali Kosseiba designed the museum. Japanese architect Arata Isozaki is designing the exhibition spaces. Notably, the NMEC highlights Egyptian civilization from prehistoric times to today. Employing a multidisciplinary approach that emphasizes both tangible and intangible heritage.

To begin, Egypt Fun Tours’ tour guide will meet you at the lobby of your hotel (in Cairo or Giza). Then, you will be transferred by our private air-conditioned vehicle to the area of Old Cairo, known by the name Al-Fustat, near the Babylon Roman Fortress and overlooking Ain El-Seera Lake to enjoy a great experience visiting the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization.

To emphasize, the museum accommodates one of the most important and most extensive collections of antiquities in the world, relating the stages of the development of Egyptian civilization from the earliest times to the modern era.

Main Display

The museum has a permanent major exhibition that deals with the most significant achievements of Egyptian civilization. Additionally, it also includes spaces for temporary exhibitions as well as an exhibition on the development of modern Cairo. Moreover, the museum covers service, commercial, and recreational buildings and is a research center for the science of ancient materials and restoration.

“Tour the Museum and explore the permanent exhibition halls, including the Central Exhibition Hall and Royal Mummies Hall, and visit the Restoration Laboratories for an extra $25 USD per person.”

“Ask your guide about the Coptic and Islamic Cairo Tour and the Full-day City Tour. These tours include the Egyptian Antiquities Museum, Saladin Citadel, and Khan El Khalili Bazaar.”

The tour of the NMEC includes

  1. Pick-up and drop-off services
  2. All transfers
  3. All tours
  4. Entrance fees
  5. Private tour guide
  6. Mineral bottled water
  • The national museum of Egyptian civilization (NMEC), including the Royal mummies

The Museum Exhibits

The museum’s collections are displayed in a core permanent exhibition of the principal achievements of Egyptian civilization. Shortly, it will have six thematic galleries covering the Dawn of Civilization: The Nile, Writing, State and Society, Material Culture, Beliefs and Thinking, and the Gallery of Royal Mummies. As for now, there is only one big hall, the textiles display, and the mummies exhibit.

Above all, this private tour of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization showcases unique artifacts and captivating displays, letting you explore Egyptian civilization and its diverse cultures. If you are interested in exploring the Cairo Museums, such as the new Grand Egyptian Museum and the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, you might want to check out the Cairo Museums Tour.
