A Day of Discovery: Essential Cairo Museums Tour Itinerary

This full-day Cairo Archaeological Tour helps you maximize your time. You will visit the most significant institutions in the city.

The day begins when your private, air-conditioned transportation collects you from your hotel in Cairo or Giza at 8:00 AM.

At 9:00 AM, you arrive at the monumental Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). Your certified guide leads you through the world’s newest and largest archaeological museum. You focus on the colossal statue displays, the grand staircase, and the modern conservation methods.

Around 12:30 PM, you take a break and enjoy an authentic Egyptian lunch near the Giza plateau.

Next, at 1:30 PM, you visit the historic Egyptian Museum in Tahrir (EM) in downtown Cairo. Your guide focuses here on the original, famous Tutankhamun collection (before its full transfer to GEM) and the incredible Mummies Room (if you purchase the optional ticket).

Around 4:30 PM, your guide provides a summary of the day’s discoveries and offers a brief opportunity for souvenir shopping. You return to your accommodation at 5:30 PM.
