The Great Pyramid of Giza

The Great Pyramid of Khufu demands admiration; it stands as the final surviving structure among the ancient world’s Seven Wonders. Builders constructed the Khufu pyramid in just 20 years, around 2580 BC. They used 2,300,000 limestone stones, each weighing 2.5 tons, with a workforce of about 100,000 free, skilled laborers. At 147 meters (481 feet) tall, it held the title of the world’s tallest building for 3800 years and boasts an exquisitely crafted interior.

The Great Sphinx of Giza

The Great Sphinx, also known as “Hor-em-Akhet” or “Horus of the Horizon,” serves as a celestial witness. This mythical creature, with the body of a lion and the head of a man (thought to be King Khafre to demonstrate his might and wisdom), stands 73 meters (240 feet) tall and 19 meters (66 feet) wide.

The Valley Temple

Built during Egypt’s Old Kingdom (2686-2134 BC), the Valley Temple served as the site for mummification. This well-preserved archaeological site offers priceless information on the mummification process and ancient Egyptian burial rituals.
