Your 10-Day Egypt Family Itinerary Breakdown
Day 1: Arrival in Cairo & Gentle Acclimatization
Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, your family will be greeted by our dedicated representative who will assist with your visas and luggage. You will be transferred via a private, air-conditioned vehicle to your family-friendly hotel. We leave this first afternoon completely open so your family can adjust to the time zone and relax by the pool.
Day 2: The Giza Pyramids & The Sphinx
We start the day early, aiming to arrive at the Giza Plateau before 8:00 AM to beat both the crowds and the midday heat. Your family will stand in the shadow of the Great Pyramid of Khufu before taking a short ride to view the enigmatic Great Sphinx. In the afternoon, you will visit the Egyptian Museum to marvel at the golden treasures of King Tutankhamun.
Day 3: Fly to Aswan & Board the Nile Cruise
After a quick breakfast, take a short domestic flight to Aswan. Instead of enduring a long 14-hour bus ride or overnight train, this one-hour flight preserves your family’s energy. Upon arrival, you will board your 5-Star Nile Cruise. After lunch on board, you will take a scenic motorboat ride to visit the beautiful Philae Temple, situated on an island in the Nile.
Day 4: Cruising to Kom Ombo & Edfu
Today, the logistics disappear as your hotel floats down the river. You will sail to the unique double temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek—always a massive hit with younger travelers! Later, sail toward Edfu while the family relaxes on the ship’s sun deck and enjoys the onboard swimming pool.
Day 5: Luxor West Bank & The Valley of the Kings
In Luxor, we head straight to the West Bank early in the morning to explore the Valley of the Kings before temperatures peak. Your guide will lead you into the vibrantly painted underground tombs where the pharaohs were buried. Next, visit the impressive Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and take family photos in front of the massive Colossi of Memnon.
Day 6: Karnak Temple & Transfer to Hurghada
After checking out of your cruise, you will visit the sprawling Karnak Temple complex on the East Bank of Luxor. Let the kids wander through the massive forest of sandstone pillars in the Great Hypostyle Hall. In the afternoon, you will take a comfortable, air-conditioned transfer directly to your all-inclusive beach resort in Hurghada on the Red Sea coast.
Day 7 & 8: Family Beach Days on the Red Sea
These two days are entirely yours to enjoy the Red Sea. Hurghada boasts some of the safest and most beautiful family beaches in the world. Spend your time building sandcastles, swimming in the calm, crystal-clear waters, or utilizing the resort’s water parks. For older children, excellent beginner snorkeling excursions can be arranged directly through the hotel.
Day 9: Fly Back to Cairo & Souvenir Shopping
Enjoy a final morning by the sea before taking a short flight back to Cairo. In the late afternoon, your guide will take your family through the vibrant, maze-like alleys of the Khan el-Khalili bazaar. This is the perfect time to let the kids pick out their favorite souvenirs and practice a little friendly haggling!
Day 10: Final Departure
Enjoy your final Egyptian breakfast. Our representative will meet your family at the hotel and provide a private transfer to Cairo International Airport for your journey home, concluding a perfectly balanced adventure of a lifetime.
