Day 1: Cairo’s Iconic Sights

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in El Gouna. We’ll transfer you to Hurghada for your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, your Egyptologist guide will meet you. Get ready to explore Cairo’s top attractions!

Giza Pyramids Complex

Step back in time at the Giza Pyramids Complex. This ancient site from the 4th dynasty (around 2400 B.C.) features three main pyramids, six smaller ones, the majestic Great Sphinx, and the Valley Temple.

The Great Pyramid

See the Great Pyramid, the oldest and largest of the Giza pyramids. It’s the only ancient wonder still largely intact! Standing at 147 meters tall, it took 20 years and 2.3 million stones to build.

The Great Sphinx

Marvel at the Great Sphinx, the world’s largest known monumental sculpture. It’s 73 meters long, 19 meters wide, and 20 meters high.

The Valley Temple

Visit the Valley Temple, a granite mortuary temple used for mummification. It’s the only one remaining on the Giza plateau.

Enjoy lunch at a restaurant offering stunning Pyramid or Nile views.

The Egyptian Museum

Next, explore the Egyptian Museum. This incredible museum showcases a rare collection of over 250,000 genuine artifacts spanning 5,000 years of art. Don’t miss the dedicated exhibit of King Tutankhamun’s treasures, including gold and jewelry that remained in his tomb for over 3,500 years.

In the evening, you’ll transfer to Cairo airport for your flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, you’ll be met and taken to a 5-star hotel for your overnight stay.

Day 2: Luxor’s Ancient Wonders

After breakfast at your hotel, your Egyptologist tour guide and a private air-conditioned vehicle will take you to Luxor’s renowned attractions.

Valley of the Kings

Explore the Valley of the Kings, the final resting place for Egypt’s powerful rulers from the 18th to 20th dynasties. Discover tombs belonging to pharaohs like Ramses II and the boy king Tutankhamun. These tombs were richly stocked with goods for the afterlife, and many decorations remain incredibly well-preserved.

Hatshepsut Temple

Visit Hatshepsut Temple, one of ancient Egypt’s most beautiful and well-preserved temples. It boasts three levels with two wide ramps connecting them.

Colossi of Memnon

See the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues of King Amenhotep III. These are the only remaining parts of his mortuary temple. The statues, made from quartzite sandstone, were transported 700 kilometers from Cairo to Luxor.

Enjoy lunch on an island, which includes a boat trip on the Nile

Karnak Temples Complex

Finally, discover the Karnak Temples Complex, the largest temple complex ever built by humans. This impressive site represents the combined efforts of many generations of ancient builders and Pharaohs. It spans 247 acres and includes three main temples.

After a full day of exploration, a private air-conditioned vehicle will transfer you back to your hotel, concluding your 2-day tour of Cairo and Luxor from El Gouna.
