Ancient Egyptian Nile Cruise

Wonderful 4 nights Voyage on Dahabiya The Orient

Discover the wonders of ancient Egypt in Luxor and Aswan through this Dahabiya the Orient from Esna to Aswan for 4 nights 5 days. This authentic Dahabiya The Orient is a colonial-style genuine Nile cruise based on the design of an original traditional Dahabiya from the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The half-shaded sundeck is the beating heart of this traditional two-masted sailing boat.

Guaranteed weekly departure Every Saturday onboard Dahabiya The Orient

It’s the ideal spot for relaxing on a wooden deck chair while watching the scenery pass by. A beautiful living room, a salon, four cabins, and one apartment may be found downstairs. A modest library containing literature about the Nile and Egypt may be found in the cozy salon. It’s the ideal place to unwind after a long day, with its plush seats. While sipping Turkish coffee or a glass of Alexandrian wine, swap tales, exchange experiences, read a book, or play a game of backgammon.

Cruise to El Kab, Nekheb’s ancient capital, to see the ruins of its temples and some of the cliff-cut tombs. Set sail for a tiny island where you’ll spend the night. Dinner will be provided onboard the Dahabiya or along the Nile’s peaceful banks. The first night aboard the boat.

Day 2: Edfu – Wadi el Shat:

Set sail for Edfu and pay a visit to the Temple of Horus, Egypt’s best-preserved temple. Set off for a little island, where you’ll spend the night; the following trips will bring you to small settlements and the desert. Explore the ancient sandstone quarries and rock-cut chapels of Horemheb, Seti I, Ramesses II, and Merenptah in Gebel el Silsila. The voyage up the Nile continues at Kom Ombo, where the Haroeris and Sobek temples are located. Set course for Maniha Island, where the Dahabiya would spend the night. Dinner will be provided onboard the Dahabiya or along the Nile’s peaceful banks. This is our third night on board.
