Together, you will embark on a private guided day trip from Hurghada to Cairo, discovering all that Cairo and Giza offer. Your journey begins with one of the seven wonders of the world:
Giza Pyramids Complex The Giza Pyramids complex vividly remembers the glorious history of ancient Egyptian civilization day after day, destined to endure until the end of time. This magnificent complex consists of three main great pyramids, six smaller pyramids, the majestic Great Sphinx, and the Valley Temple.
The Great Pyramid
The Great Pyramid of Khufu stands as a monument of pure greatness, defying the passage of time. It remains the last intact structure of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Workers constructed the Khufu pyramid in 2580 BC over 20 years, using 2,300,000 pieces of limestone, each weighing 2.5 tons. Approximately 100,000 free-skilled workers participated in its creation. Standing at 147 meters (481 ft) tall, it held the title of the tallest building in history for 3800 years, and its interior features an enchantingly designed layout.
The Great Sphinx The Great Sphinx, also known as “Hor-em-Akhet” or “Horus of the horizon,” serves as the immortal celestial guardian of Egypt. The sphinx measures 73 meters (240 ft) long, 19 meters (66 ft) wide, and takes the shape of a mythical creature with a lion’s body and a man’s head, believed to represent King Khafre to showcase his power and wisdom.
The Valley Temple
They created the Valley Temple during Egypt’s Old Kingdom (2686-2134 BC) for the mummification process. Furthermore, the valley remains exceptionally well-preserved archaeologically, offering valuable information about ancient Egypt’s mummification process and mortuary rituals.
Lunch will be served at a Pyramids/Nile view restaurant. Afterward, move on to visit:
The Egyptian Museum The Egyptian Museum acts as a time capsule, filled with the greatest ancient Egyptian artifacts dating back more than 4000 years. The museum’s two floors showcase objects made from extravagant materials like gold, silver, and precious gems, alongside ordinary ones such as wood or stone, appearing as statues, funerary objects, and several other incredible monuments worthy of exploration.
Al Muizz Street
The illuminating and blessed Al-Muizz Street dates back to the 10th century AD, nestled in the heart of Old Cairo. It sits a close distance from Khan El Khalili Bazaar and teems with the most captivating collection of ancient decorations and architecture.
Khan El Khalili Bazaar Khan El Khalili Bazaar, a street straight from the history books, was constructed in 970 AD to be the “golden brick road” of the Middle East. It remains an active bazaar, offering everything a traveler could imagine in its magical markets and shops, plus several vintage cafes that reflect the classical beauty and prestige of ancient Islamic culture. Finally, you will transfer to Cairo airport to take your flight to Hurghada, and then we will transfer you to your hotel, thus ending your day trip to Cairo from Hurghada by plane.
