2nd day: In Cairo, discover the wealth of ancient relics.
After breakfast, you’ll meet up with your tour guide to begin your Egypt 6 Days Cheap Vacation by touring the world’s most famous ancient monument, the Giza Pyramids:
Giza Pyramids Complex
The complex has been standing for 4000 years, making it one of the world’s oldest complete monuments. The Giza complex includes three major pyramids, six smaller pyramids, the Great Sphinx, and the Valley Temple, which houses the afterlife.
The Great Pyramid of Giza
Within the compound, the Great Pyramid of Khufu will be your first stop. It is one of the world’s largest constructions and the final surviving structure of the Ancient World’s Seven Wonders. The building dates back to 2580 BC, making it more than 4500 years old.
It took 20 years to construct, using 2,300,000 2.5-ton limestone stones and a staff of 100,000 unpaid skilled craftsmen. Its height of 147 meters (481 feet) rendered it the world’s tallest structure for 3800 years, until the completion of Lincoln Cathedral in England in 1311. Due to its complicated interior relative to its scale, the Pyramid has been surrounded by riddles and fringe ideas for millennia.
The Great Sphinx of Giza
The Great Sphinx has a unique position among Egypt’s and probably the world’s antiquities. Due to its antiquity, size, and shady provenance, it is one-of-a-kind. Carved from a single piece of limestone, the Sphinx stands 73 meters (240 feet) tall and 19 meters (66 feet) wide. Shaped like a mythological monster with the body of a lion and the head of King Khafre, it symbolizes knowledge and power. In Egypt, it is called Abu Al-Hawl, meaning “Father of Terror” in Arabic.
The Valley Temple
The mummification process was carried out in the Valley Temple, which was built during the Old Kingdom (2686–2134 BC). It is one of the best-preserved buildings of ancient Egyptian culture and a wealth of knowledge about Ancient Egyptian mummification. The Valley is mainly composed of limestone and granite, adorned with exquisite diorite sculptures of King Khafre.
After that, go to a local Cairo restaurant for lunch. After that, we’ll go to see:
Step Pyramid of Saqqara
In 2700 BC, the Saqqara Step Pyramid was one of the earliest Pyramids ever built in Egypt, and it was the Pyramid that began everything circling the Pyramid’s creation in the golden period of Ancient Egypt. Imhotep, Pharaoh Djoser’s vizier, constructed it. The Pyramid, which is built completely of limestone and rises at a height of 62 meters, has a unique six-step design and is encircled by a one-of-a-kind complex.
Memphis City
Memphis, founded by King Menes, was Ancient Egypt’s first capital, serving as the center of Ptah’s authority, commerce, and art. It was home to the vast temple of Hut-Ka-Ptah, meaning “Enclosure of the Ka of Ptah” in Egyptian. The Greeks translated this name as Ai-Gy-Ptos, which became the etymological origin of the term “Egypt.”
Finally, we return you to your hotel for the night.

Queen Hatshepsut (1508-1458 BC) built the Obelisk to stand at the entrance of the Karnak temple alongside the Lateran Obelisk, now housed in the Lateran Palace in Rome. During construction, the Obelisk cracked and remains in place to this day. It stood 42 meters tall and weighed 1,200 tonnes.
The local restaurant in Aswan will serve lunch, and you will conclude the day with a special visit to:

Memnon’s Colossi

During the Greco-Roman era, the statues gained fame for a phenomenon called The Vocal Memnon, where they emitted a singing sound at dawn. This sound was later found to be caused by the wind blowing through the statues.
