The Valley of Kings

The Valley of the Kings’ excursion at Makadi Bay has 63 tombs in the belly of a mountain packed with a variety of one-of-a-kind artifacts, sculptures, and superb wall decorations and paintings, as well as the mummies and bones of pharaohs like Rameses II, Amenhotep I, and Tutankhamun.

Temple of Hatshepsut

On your Makadi Bay Excursion, you will explore the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, erected in 1479 BC to honor the creator deity Amun and celebrate Hatshepsut’s magnificent legacy. The temple features a design inspired by Egypt’s New Kingdom Classical Architecture.

Memnon’s Colossi

Your Luxor trip from Makadi Bay will not be complete until you pass by the Colossi of Memnon, two massive pieces of quartzite that journeyed from Cairo to Luxor. It is 18 meters (60 feet) tall and weighs around 720 tonnes. Many Egyptologists think the sculptures resemble Pharaoh Amenhotep III (1386-1350).
