Giza Pyramids Complex

The heavenly Giza pyramids complex is a cosmic wonder, presenting the ancient Egyptian civilization’s everlasting history through a series of heavenly buildings such as the great three pyramids of Giza, six minor pyramids, and the great sphinx, and the Valley Temple, which span over 4500 years.

The Great Pyramid of Giza

The Great Pyramid of Khufu was built in 2600 years by the vizier of Pharaoh Khufu Hemiunu, who intended the Pyramid to be 147 meters tall and filled with a variety of chambers including the Queen’s chamber, the King’s chamber, the grand hall, and other hidden wonders.

The Great Sphinx of Giza

The Great Sphinx is a holy guardian who descended from the heavens in the year 2500 to protect the Giza plateau’s wonders. It bears the facial features of King Khafre, who ruled with the body of a lion from 2558 BC to 2532 BC.

The Valley Temple

The transformational house The valley temple is an important structure that was built in 2700 BC to serve as the hub of the mummification process and to protect the bodies of the 4th dynasty’s royal family by turning them into mummies.

Lunch will be served in a restaurant with a view of the Pyramids and the Nile, followed by a tour to:

The Egyptian Museum

The Egyptian Museum was the first museum of its sort in the world, opening in 1901 in the center of Cairo to display and commemorate Egypt’s oldest and most spectacular antiquities and monuments.

Al Muizz Street

Al-Muizz Street is more than a maze of streets; it is a gate to the golden age of Islam. It was erected in the 10th century AD near the Khan El Khalili bazaar to serve as a hub for shopping and exploring old architecture through all of the wonderful cafes.

Bazaar of Khan El Khalili

The opulent Bazaar of Khan El Khalili was built in 1382-1389 AD, at the height of the golden Islamic age, to serve as a commercial shopping hub and provide an opportunity for all travelers to purchase a piece of Egypt.

Egypt Fun Tours - Valley of Whales Day Trip - AMAZING EXPERIENCE

June 12, 2024

Jan 2013 • Family

My family and I were visiting Egypt for only 5 days, so we contact Egypt Fun Tours to see what they could suggest we can do for one day. Fortunately, after looking at their website, they had a category with EXACTLY what we needed – Cairo Day Tours! Given that this was our fourth visit to Cairo, and definitely NOT our first experience touring with EFT, Hani and Mohammad immediately came up with a plan for us, where we would visit a new place and experience the most incredible views; (we’ve already seen the pyramids, museum, citadel, etc). Our trip was to the Valley of the Whales! I won’t give away too much information, but it required an approximately three hour van ride into the open desert (TOTALLY different from the desert in Valley of the Kings, Abu Simbel, etc) and when we got there, the view was breathtaking! We were entertained by Hani’s Egyptian History trivia, as well as the adventurous van ride for several kilometers through the sand! We also had the opportunity to pass through the Fayyoum Oasis and to visit the Waterfalls all in one trip! Almost forgot to mention the DELICIOUS lunch with Bedouins! This is not a very common trip among tourists, but it definitely should be! If you have seen all of Egypt’s “main” attractions, you haven’t seen everything yet! Bring your camera and your sneakers and enjoy a wonderful day at the Valley of the Whales and all nearby attractions! As if our day wasn’t incredible enough, Hani and Mohammad took us to Old Cairo at night to a gorgeous coffee shop – Oum Kolsoum – to drink tea and coffee and then delivered us back to our hotel. Thank you so much Egypt Fun Tours for another memorable experience! See you soon inshallah!
