Detailed itinerary of the Aswan from Luxor Day Trip

We will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the Luxor train station to catch the first-class train to Aswan, where you will begin your guided tour of Aswan’s major attractions:

High Dam of Aswan

It was erected in Aswan, Egypt, across the Nile, between 1960 and 1970, and has had a considerable impact on Egypt’s economy and culture.

The Unfinished Obelisk

Ancient Egypt’s largest obelisk. It was commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut (1508-1458 BC) to accompany the Lateran Obelisk (originally from Karnak) and afterward transported to Rome’s Lateran Palace.

After that, you’ll go to a public restaurant in Aswan for a delicious lunch, and then you’ll go to see:

Temple of Philae

The goddess Isis of Love and Beauty is honored in this shrine. As part of the UNESCO Nubia Campaign initiative, the temple complex was deconstructed and transported to neighboring Agilkia Island, safeguarding it and other monuments before the Aswan High Dam was completed in 1970. Finally, return to Luxor via train and transfer to your hotel.

Egypt Fun Tours – Does it All!

My husband and I visited Egypt in March 2013. First, let me say, ‘Go, go, go!’ – it’s safer and definitely friendlier than many places we’ve visited. Tourism is drastically down – thanks mostly to media misinformation – so it’s a great time to visit to avoid line-ups and crowds
