Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Cairo

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, our local guide will greet you warmly. Afterward, transfer to your hotel in Cairo and check-in. Then, enjoy some leisure time to rest and recover from your journey. Finally, enjoy an overnight stay in Cairo.

Day 2: Exploring Cairo’s Ancient Sites

Breakfast at the hotel. Afterward, embark on a full-day tour of Cairo’s iconic sites. First, visit the Giza Plateau and marvel at the Great Pyramids of Giza. Explore the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure. Then, discover the enigmatic Sphinx and learn about its historical significance.

Afterward, explore the ancient ruins of Memphis, the former capital of Egypt, and see the impressive statue of Ramses II. Then, visit the Step Pyramid of Djoser in Saqqara, one of the oldest stone structures in the world.

Day 3: Flight to Luxor and East Bank Tour

Breakfast in the hotel. Afterward, we transfer you to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, our local guide will escort you to your Nile Cruise. Then, start your exploration of the East Bank of Luxor. Firstly, visit the majestic Karnak Temple, the largest temple complex in Egypt. Secondly, explore Luxor Temple, a magnificent temple dedicated to the Theban Triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. Finally, enjoy an overnight stay in Luxor.

Day 4: West Bank and Bazaar Tours

Today, delve into the West Bank of Luxor. Firstly, discover the Valley of the Kings, a burial ground for pharaohs, including the tomb of Tutankhamun. Secondly, explore the stunning Temple of Hatshepsut, dedicated to the only female pharaoh of ancient Egypt. Then, visit the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues guarding the entrance to the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III. Afterward, enjoy the vibrant atmosphere in Luxor Bazaars and Souqs. Day 5: Kom Ombo and Edfu Temples

Afterward, continue cruising to Edfu and visit the beautifully preserved Temple of Horus, the best-preserved temple in Egypt. Day 6: Sail to Aswan

Day 7: Abu Simbel Temples and High Dam

After breakfast, embark on a day trip to Abu Simbel by road. Once there, visit the magnificent Abu Simbel Temples, dedicated to Ramses II and his queen Nefertari. After your visit, return to Aswan and explore the gigantic Aswan High Dam, which provides hydroelectric power to Egypt. Following that, enjoy a peaceful boat ride on the Nile River. Amazing tour to the pyramids of Sakkara and Dahshur

This week we had a great tour with Mohamed to the pyramids of Sakkara and Dahshur as well as Memphis. He tailored the tour to our preferences, took a lot of time with us and gave us detailed background information on everything. It was also great that he never tired of taking the time to answer our many questions.

You can definitely tell that he has studied Egyptology as he has a very deep understanding of the subject and can explain everything well. He also speaks perfect English and is really good driver.

We would definitely book a tour with him again in a heartbeat and would recommend him to anyone. 🙂

Several weeks ago, I reached out to Egypt Fun Tours regarding a 9-hour layover in Cairo. From the very beginning, Hani Ahmed was responsive and professional, quickly providing a well-organized itinerary tailored to our limited time. The itinerary included a visit to the pyramids, other historical sites, a delicious dinner, and even a quick stop for souvenir shopping.

Upon arrival, Gilman efficiently assisted us in obtaining our day tourist visas (note: $25 per person in cash). She then introduced us to our guide, Mydo, who was absolutely phenomenal! Mydo’s knowledge, friendly demeanor, and ability to adjust the tour to our pace made the experience unforgettable.

We returned to the airport with plenty of time to relax before our flight. The entire experience was smooth, stress-free, and incredibly memorable.
