Day Trip to Alexandria From Cairo

From Cairo, a full-day trip to Alexandria for sightseeing. Door-to-door service. The Catacombs, the Roman Amphitheater, Pompey’s Pillar, the fort of Qaytbey, and the mosque of Abulabaas are all included in the tour. The cost of admission and lunch are also included.

Our tour guide will pick you up in the early morning at 7:00, 7:30, or 8:00 a.m. (please note: pick up can be any location address in Cairo or in Giza including all hotels). Our private air-conditioned vehicle will transport you to the start of our journey from Cairo to Alexandria via the desert road (220 k.m). Continue to the Catacombs to see three leveled tombs from Egypt’s Greek era. Although the Catacombs are large enough to hold 2000 mummies, they were discovered empty in 1900! Proceed to Pompey’s pillar, which previously served as the tallest pillar in ancient Egypt, leading ships into the port. Our trips will continue to the fort of Qaytbey, where we will be able to see the fisherman and the Mediterranean. In a nearby restaurant, have a seafood lunch. Following lunch, we continue our travels to Abulabaas Mosque and finally the Alexandria Library (outside view). Return to Cairo by plane.
