Transit Tour to Saqqara

Transit tour enjoy your tour to Saqqara in Cairo by exploring some of the city’s highlights. Explore the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, the earliest pyramid erected by humans, near Saqqara. Visit Egypt’s ancient capital city, Memphis, and Egypt’s largest tourist market, Khan El-Khalili. Cairo airport pickup, transit tour to the Saqqara pyramids, Memphis Museum, Islamic Cairo, and Khan El-Khalili tourist mart. Return to Cairo airport and drop off.

Pick you up and start our tour to Saqqara “See the complex of King Djoser, the Step Pyramid, the visual presentation of Saqqara, and the museum of Imhotep”. Continue our tour to the Giza Pyramids to See “the pyramids of King Khufu, the pyramid of King Chephren, and the pyramid of King Mykarinus, the pyramids of the 4th dynasty queens, the funeral temple of King Kephren, and the Sphinx).

Lunch: Local food, Shawerma, Falafel, & your selection of traditional Egyptian food. After lunch, continue our tour to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities to explore the treasures of King Tut and the mummies of the 18th and 19 dynasties (more than 120 000 pieces from ancient Egypt).

Proceed to Khan El-Khalili tourist bazaar for a well-worth cup of tea in El-Fishawy Cafe and a nice walking guided tour in the ancient streets of medieval Islamic Cairo. Transfer back to Cairo Airport and drop off.

Pick up from Cairo International Airport, meet, welcome, and assist with formalities, and then start our tour to the following places:

Saqqara Step Pyramid Complex

We begin our exploration of one of Egypt’s important archaeological sites: the Saqqara Step Pyramid Complex. That is where you will find the famous Pyramid of Djoser, which, for its step design, was quite unlike other pyramids and is among the oldest monumental stone buildings in the world. In the complex, you will also find several tombs and temples showing the ingenuity of ancient Egyptians in architecture and giving good insight into their burial practices and beliefs.

LUNCH: Local Egyptian Food

We will also have a delicious lunch consisting of all the traditional dishes of Egypt after our Saqqara tour. You will be able to taste all the local tastes in this lunch, including koshari and falafel, added with the warm welcome that Egyptians are well-known for. This will be a nice break to replenish your energy** and give you the flavor of the rich culinary tradition of Egypt.

Memphis City

After lunch, we will head to Memphis City, the ancient capital of Egypt. Upon arrival, expect impressive ruins and artifacts that reflect the grandeur of this once-thriving metropolis. You will pay a visit to the open museum, wherein you will be able to see the colossal statue of Ramses II along with other great finds dating back from the Old Kingdom. This stop means a lot to take contact with marvelous history and appreciate the whole outline of Egyptian ancient art.

Khan El-Khalili Tourist Bazaar

Finally, we will end our tour in the lively Khan El-Khalili Tourist Bazaar. You will have an opportunity to walk through this busy marketplace full of little shops selling everything from handicraft souvenirs to spices and costume jewelry. As you work your way through, be sure to stop and talk with the locals and merchants while trying your hand at bargaining for a unique souvenir. This flurry of activity is a perfect conclusion to your transit tour, as you will be further engulfed into the local culture before returning to your point of origin.
