Details of the 11 Days Historical Vacation in Egypt

Day 1: Welcome to the Magnificent Land of History

At Cairo International Airport, our representative will be waiting with an Egypt Fun Tours sign in hand. He will help you with all the formalities at the airport, and you will then meet your private tour guide who will drive you in a private A.C. car to your hotel in Cairo so you may check-in and unwind. We will pick you up in the evening so you may have the most memorable dinner cruise of your life. In such an activity, you will take in some captivating performances by traditional Egyptian bands, enjoy an open buffet, learn some fascinating tales about the history of the Ancient Egyptian civilization from your tour guide, and then, once your tour is complete, we will transfer you back to your hotel. On the second day, your tour guide will let you know when to be picked up and will make all the arrangements. Spend a pleasant night at your hotel.

Day 2: Visit Memphis City and The Pyramids

Before your private tour guide arrives to pick you up for your wonderful trip to Giza, have a delicious breakfast at your Cairo hotel. While there, you may see its stunning sites, including:

The Great Pyramid of Khufu

Join us in imagining that on your first day of seeing Egypt’s attractions, you will go to one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

enthralling, isn’t it? Although there are many other pyramids in Giza, this one stands out for a variety of reasons, including its majestic size, its unusual manner of construction, and the fact that it is the most popular tourist attraction in Egypt. You will witness the actual history of Egypt speak to you there since it was erected by the great pharaoh Khufu, who attempted to finish the work that his father Sneferu had begun. There is another astonishing site in Giza that astounds visitors in addition to the magnificent pyramids.

The Stunning Sphinx of Giza

The Great Sphinx is what it is known as, and it was constructed under the rule of Monarch Khafre. King Khafre wanted to create a magnificent structure to defend the Giza pyramid complex, so he came up with the concept of giving the Sphinx the body of a lion and the characteristics of the king himself.

The Valley Temple

Due to their pre-existing beliefs in the afterlife, the ancient Egyptians were able to mummify their dead remarkably. The Valley Temple served as the place for the mummification and purification of their kings’ and queens’ remains.

You will then go on to a fantastic Egyptian restaurant for lunch before rejoining your tour guide once again for a wonderful excursion to:

Step Pyramid of Saqqara

The first and most recognizable of them, known as Djoser’s Step Pyramid, may be seen at Giza with the three major pyramids and the other minor ones. It was built just for the king, and it wasn’t just your average Mastaba. The pyramid eventually assumed the appearance of a stepped tomb since it served as the ancient Egyptians’ standard tomb.

City of Memphis

You will now be taken to the site of Egypt’s first capital, which served as the primary hub for the country’s religious, social, and commercial life. There are many sights and monuments there, but the lying statue of King Ramses II is perhaps the most magnificent.

After that, we’ll return you to your 5-star hotel for the night.

Day 3: View the Top Attractions in Alexandria

Enjoy your breakfast in the morning before we pick you up from your Cairo hotel to begin an imaginative tour of Alexandria, where you will meet your tour guide and go to the following locations:

Citadel of Qaitbay

One of the most important defensive fortifications along the Mediterranean Sea coast is this majestic castle. It was built where the Lighthouse of Alexandria, which was formerly regarded as one of the Seven Wonders of the World but later demolished and replaced by Qaitbey Citadel, had stood. At the time, it was a highly significant landmark in Alexandria.

Alexandria Library

As it offers a large area for information seekers, this is regarded by many as one of the most intriguing & compelling tourist places in Alexandria. Additionally, there are six other specialist libraries, including the Taha Hussein Library, the Children’s Library, the Young People’s Library, the Exchange & Archive section, and the Rare Books Section, in addition to the Main Library.

After that, take pleasure in a memorable lunch at one of Alexandria’s top restaurants before preparing for your day’s finale:

Pompey’s Pillar

It is believed that this Roman triumphal column at Alexandria is the biggest of its kind to have been built outside of the imperial capitals of Rome and Constantinople.

This extraordinary work of art is one of the biggest ancient monoliths ever constructed.

Kom El Shoqafa’s catacombs

When you learn that this site was stumbled upon in 1900 by a donkey and that this catacomb is the largest-known Roman burial place in Egypt that was devoted to religion in ancient Egypt, you will be completely astounded. Three levels of tombs and chambers that are 35 meters deep in the bedrock may be found within the Catacombs.

After your trip is done, we’ll drive you back to your hotel in Cairo for the night.

Day 4: Fly to Aswan and see the city’s top attractions

You will have breakfast at your hotel in the morning, after which you will check out so that we can drive you to Cairo International Airport to catch your flight to Aswan. When you get there, you’ll go on a trip with a private guide to some of the top sights in Aswan, like Enjoy a private tour of one of Aswan’s most stunning contemporary sites, which was built between 1960 and 1970 to protect the precious Nubian monuments from the flood.

The High Dam

The incredible Aswan High Dam is very significant for Egypt’s economic, social, and political existence since it significantly impacted the country’s way of life by providing an abundance of energy.

The Unfinished Obelisk

One of the most intriguing obelisks that were built in ancient Egypt under Queen Hatshepsut is this one. The queen instructed her builders to cease building it and leave it in its current state because she wanted it to be one of the greatest obelisks to accompany the Lateran Obelisk in Karnak. However, the topmost half of the obelisk fractured during construction.

Temple of Philae

It was one of the most important religious temples in ancient Egypt, dedicated to the goddess Isis, the goddess of love and beauty. Because of its significance, the government decided to move it to its current location on Agilikia Island because it was in grave danger of being destroyed. Today, it is safe and is frequented by tens of thousands of tourists.

Your excellent meal will be served at a great restaurant after which you will be driven to an Aswan hotel to spend the night.

Day 5: Travel to Abu Simbel

You will get your breakfast boxes in the early morning, and we will pick you up so that you may begin your journey to Abu Simbel. When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by your tour guide and taken to see a genuine masterpiece:

Abu Simbel Temples

At Abu Simbel, there are two enormously impressive rock temples. They are two temples that Ramses II, in the 13th century BC, hewn out of the cliff. The biggest one was built to honor the king’s triumph in the Battle of Kadesh, while the other one was erected in honor of Queen Nefertari’s beautiful bride.

The two temples’ relocation in 1968 with assistance from UNESCO is what surprises people the most; otherwise, Lake Nasser would have flooded the two temples. After your tour is done, we’ll drive you back to Aswan so you may have lunch at a terrific Egyptian restaurant before returning to your hotel for the night.

Day 6: Travel to Luxor and check out the attractions on the East Bank.

After breakfast and check-out from the Aswan hotel, we’ll take you to the Aswan train station so you can take a first-class train to Luxor. When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by your private tour guide and embark on an exciting tour of some of the most popular Luxor tourist attractions on the east bank, including:

Temple of Karnak

You will undoubtedly feel uplifted and like Indiana Jones on an expedition searching for the lost riches of the ancient Pharaohs after seeing the greatest religious temple in the world. Three magnificent temples honoring Amun, Mut, and Khunso, three gods of the ancient Egyptian pantheon, are located at Karnak.

Following your lunch in a fantastic Egyptian restaurant, we will bring you to your five-star hotel where you may unwind. We will take you up from your Luxor hotel in the evening so you may go with your tour guide to:

Temple of Luxor

The mesmerizing Luxor temple, which was built approximately 1400 BC, is among the most notable sights on the east bank of the Nile River. This is one of the few temples that was truly created for the restoration of royalty rather than any particular deity.

After that, we’ll take you back to your Luxor hotel for the night.

Day 7: Visit Luxor West Bank Attractions

Enjoy your breakfast at your 5-star hotel before your tour guide takes you on a brand-new exciting journey to the west bank of Luxor, where you will see:

The Valley of the Kings

It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Luxor since it is home to several ancient Egyptian monarchs’ last resting places. There, you may see and explore the tombs of Seti I, King Tutankhamun, Ramses VI, and many more interesting locations to learn more about ancient Egyptian traditions and customs related to organizing funeral ceremonies and preparing everything for the deceased person’s trip to the afterlife.

Temple of Hatshepsut

The 18th dynasty’s most remarkable Temple was built by the legendary Queen Hatshepsut, who governed like a genuine Pharaoh and is remembered for her creation of other magnificent ancient Egyptian works of art.

Memnon’s Colossi

There are several legends about these twin sculptures of King Amenhotep III. He built a mesmerizing funerary temple, but it was destroyed, leaving just these two statues standing. Visiting them will be an exciting experience for which you should be prepared.

And then we’ll transport you to a carefully picked restaurant for lunch before returning you to your hotel in Luxor for the night.

Day 8: Complete Your Luxor Vacation

Breakfast will be provided at your hotel in the morning, and after that, your private tour guide will take you to see some additional breath-taking sites in Luxor that draw visitors from all over the globe to experience their majesty and awe, such as:

The Queens’ Valley

The tombs of the ancient Egyptian pharaohs and queens, notably the tomb of Queen Nefertari known as The Place of Beauty, may be found while traversing the magnificent Valley of the Queens.

Temple of Habu

This temple, which is King Ramses III’s Mortuary Temple and is situated in Madinet Habu, was extremely significant during the New Kingdom era. However, that is not all; the temple is perhaps best known as the source of inscribed reliefs showing the arrival and eventual defeat of the Sea People.

Deir El-Medina

You will now go to a magnificent ancient Egyptian town where the craftsmen who built the tombs in the Valley of the Kings between the 18th and 20th centuries lived. There is no other place in the world that can be compared to such an old site since it is a unique location that saw the most structured and prosperous life in ancient Egypt.

After enjoying a delicious lunch, take private transport back to your hotel where you may finish the remainder of the day.

Day 9: Visit Dendera and Abydos

You will have breakfast at the hotel on this memorable day before joining your private tour guide to explore some fascinating Luxor sights, such as:

Temple at Dendera

One of the most intriguing temples is this one, which is almost 40,000 square meters in size and was inhabited in prehistory. This temple was built by Pharaoh Pepi I, and within it, you may study more and more about the fascinating history of Egypt thanks to features like the Hathor Temple, Isis Temple, Sacred Lake, and Sanatorium, the Roman Kiosk, and other incredible features.

Temple of Abydos

The temple of Seti I, the least well-known pharaoh of the New Kingdom, is where this may be found. Moreover, it was a significant Isis worship site since it was thought to be the location of Osiris’ burial.

Finally, we’ll take you to a fantastic restaurant for lunch before returning you to your hotel in Luxor for the night.

Day 10: Arrive in Cairo and see the sights in Old Cairo

After breakfast, you will check out of your hotel, and after that, we will drive you to the airport in Luxor so you can catch your flight back to Cairo. When you get there, you’ll go on a tour with an Egyptologist who will take you to some of Cairo’s most appealing sights, like:

The Egyptian Museum

The wonderful items that you will see at this breathtaking location in Egypt are beyond description. Mummies of ancient Egyptian pharaohs, sculptures, riches, antiquities, and other items that you may have heard about before visiting Egypt may all be found there. You will undoubtedly enjoy yourself much at such a location, particularly after seeing King Tut’s gorgeous death mask.

You will then have a delicious lunch at a restaurant before continuing your journey to:

The Hanging Church

Due to its location on the southern entrance of the Roman Fortress and its use as the Coptic Patriarch’s palace from the seventh through the thirteenth centuries, it is the church that most visitors to Egypt choose to see.

Mosque of Amr Ibn Al Aas

It is one of the most active mosques in Egypt with a devoted congregation and is available to the majority of tourists and visitors to visit. This mosque received its name from the magnificent commander Amr Ibn El-As.

Synagogue of Ben Ezra

The most intriguing aspect of this synagogue is that, until the Copts were forced to surrender it to the Jews in 882 AD, it was a Christian church. The present structure dates back to 1892 when the first synagogue collapsed and underwent several renovations.

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) is the key to fully exploring several extraordinary and rare artifacts from Egypt’s long and varied history, which spans more than 400 years and includes periods from prehistory to ancient Egypt, Greco-Roman, Coptic, Islamic, and contemporary modern times.

Market in Khan El Khalili

The finest place to see before leaving Egypt is Khan El-Khalili, which is the country’s biggest and most exceptional retail complex.

There, you can discover some remarkable stores where you can locate all of the different items that you may want to buy at completely affordable costs in addition to getting the complete mementos that you want for you and your family back home. Finally, when your trip is done, we will return you to your hotel for the night.

What People Say About Us
5/5

Thank you Egypt Fun Tours for a most memorable trip. I admit I didn’t do any of the planning (it was all done by my boyfriend) but as you can read in the reviews below Hani (the owner of Egypt Fun Tours) is superbly organized and accommodating with scheduling.

My boyfriend and I, and our dearest mutual friend, booked the 7Days-6Nights tour. In short time, we visited Cairo, Aswan, and Luxor sailing down the down the Nile, pit stopping to see key sites at these location – and so much more!!! We got to know the ancient and modern egypt in depth thanks to Hani’s impressive knowledge. He also enlightened us on the people and their beliefs and went as far as showing us what a typical life looks like. I cannot express the level of personalized service Hani offered us. He was flexible to adapt to our requirements and added sites to our schedule that was not part of the tour simply to ensure we were 100% satisfied with our experience in Egypt.

I went to Egypt practically blind-folded, not knowing what to expect, especially considering the time we had decided to go (December 2020 – we were the first group that Hani met with after months of having to put his tour agency on hold considering the pandemic) yet he managed to surpass all of our expectations. I felt so incredibly lucky for us to have stumbled on Hani. I would recommend Egypt Fun Tours to anyone and everyone. It was truly, HANDS DOWN, the best cultural experience I’ve ever had. You’ll be in the best of hands.

Hamada was incredible! So knowledgeable and kind. He had information about every item, street corner, and relic we looked at. Any questions we had, he had answers! He even made sure to give us tips while walking through the crowds so that’s we would feel more comfortable when being approached by vendors. Oh and the food?! He took us to the best places! Delicious food!! We tried Egyptian fried chicken, falafel for the first time, the best shawarma in the city (we love food). We even got to meet his beautiful wife and children and try some “French” Egyptian coffee in their home! Truly made friends for life!! We’ve promised to host him and the family when they travel to America for the first time! Such an incredible experience, and Hamada (and family) made it that much more memorable and amazing!

Excellent trip to historic sites with no one else around. We came to see Egypt while most places still had COVID19 fears. The staff at Egypt Fun Tours were professional, safe, and great to deal with. Very helpful, knowledgeable, and entertaining. I feel like I just got a a year of Egyptology in the last week and we had all the sites to ourselves due to COVID19. While people are shutting down and staying home you should feel safe to come explore with Egypt Fun Tours and have the place to yourself.
