Day 01: Pyramids Tour:

Egypt Fun Tour Guide Representative will pick you up from Alexandria Port (by the cruise exit door). Then you will be transferred by our air-conditioned bus to Cairo (3 hours), with a stop if needed to have a rest or a drink.

Start your tour with a visit to the Step Pyramids of Zoser, the world’s oldest major stone structure. It was built in the 3rd Dynasty (around 2630 BC) by King Djoser, Kagemni’s tomb, then we transfer you to Memphis which was founded by King Menes, and was the capital of Old Egypt during the Old Kingdom.

It was considered to be a center of rule and culture for over 3000 years the first capital of Egypt, and see the colossus of Ramses II. After that move to visit the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus.

Then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, with the head of a pharaoh with a lion’s body, which dates back to the time of Chephren; the tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple, which belongs to King Chephren with a shopping tour at the Famous bazaars and papyrus institutes in Giza.

Optional tour to watch the spectacular Sound and Light Show at Giza Pyramids or enjoy having dinner on a Nile cruise. Lunch is included during the tour. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 02: Egyptian Museum/Saladin Citadel:

After Breakfast at your hotel, start an excursion to the Egyptian Museum which features artifacts from the Pharaohs period, the museum displays a rare collection of 5000 years of art which is considered the largest and most precious collection of Egyptian artifacts in the world.

Over 220,000 genuine artifacts are presented, including the treasures of King Tutankhamun, gold, and jewelry which were enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before its discovery in 1922 when his tomb was excavated. Have your lunch at a local restaurant.

Then processed to Saladin Citadel and the alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali which was designed by the architect Yousif Boushnaq, a Turkish man who came especially from Istanbul to build this great mosque for Mohamed Ali, the ruler of Egypt (1805-1849) who ruled Egypt from 1805 to 1848 A.D. After that travel by our air-conditioned modern coach to Alexandria and back to your cruise ship for the final departure.
