At the end, you will transfer back to your hotel for the overnight.

Day 2: Witness the Grandeur of the Egyptian Pyramids

In the early morning time, you will have your breakfast, and then join your private tour guide to start the first part of your cheap Egypt holiday in the most significant monuments in Human history to discover ancient Egyptian civilization in one of the Seven Wonders of the world:

Giza Pyramids Complex

It’s one of the oldest monuments in the world as it dates to more than 4000 years and consists of three main Pyramids, six little Pyramids, and the sole protector of the entire country, the Great Sphinx; there is also the Valley temple, which was used to preserve the heritage and legacy of the kings and queens for countless generations. The complex is considered one of the top Egyptian tourist attractions.

The Great Pyramid

It is the last intact structure of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, which makes it one of the oldest and largest constructions in the entire world. Mysteries and fringe theories surround the Great Pyramid due to its complex interior compared to its magnitude. It dates back to 2580 BC, which makes it older than 4500 years old and the first of its kind to launch the golden age of construction in ancient Egypt. It was built in 20 years using 2,300,000 pieces of limestone, each weighing 2.5 tons, and a workforce with 100,000 free skilled workers. It stands at a height of 147 m (481 ft), which made it the tallest building in the world for 3800 years until the construction of the Lincoln Cathedral in England in 1311.

The Great Sphinx

A.K.A. Abu Al-Hawl, which means The Father of Terror in Arabic, is the oldest statue in history; it has the shape of a mythical creature called the Sphinx, which has the body of a lion and the head of a man, probably King Khafre as a symbol of power and wisdom. It served as a source of inspiration to countless travelers & poets even today, as a lot of mysteries and unanswered questions still surround the Sphinx. It has a height of 73 m (240 ft) and 19 m (66 ft) and was carved out of single limestone rock.

The Valley Temple

It is the home of the Mummification Process that started in the old Kingdom (2686 2134 BC). It is one of the best-preserved structures of the ancient Egyptian civilization, made entirely from limestone and granite, and holds fantastic diorite statues of Chephren.

Move to have your lunch at a local restaurant in Cairo and continue your trip by visiting:

The Egyptian Museum

It is located in the heart of Cairo. It contains the most significant number of rare, beautiful ancient Egyptian artifacts and monuments dating to more than 4000 years from all the various periods from ancient Egyptian to Greek to Coptic to Islamic. There are over 150,000 rare genuine made from extravagant materials like gold or jewelry to ordinary ones like wood or stone that come in the form of statues, jewelry, and funerary objects like the treasures of King Tutankhamun, the Narmer palette, Papyrus, and countless others.

We will transfer you to the hotel for overnight.

Day 2: Spoil Your Inner Explorer With a Tour to Alexandria

After breakfast, you will head to the city of Alexandria, the pearl of the Mediterranean Sea, where allure and wonder shine most magically, to visit Alexandria’s tourist attractions.

Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa

It is one of the unique monuments in Egypt; the Necropolis dates to the 2nd century AD when it was able to combine the artistic elements of the Hellenistic and Roman to the ancient Egyptian Pharaonic design in the ultimate captivating and charming manner. It holds several incredible artifacts and decorations in its three-level stories, which earned it the title of one of the seven wonders of the Middle Ages.

Back above ground, continue your trip by visiting:

Pompey’s Pillar

The most giant monolith column ever built outside of Rome, it stands 28 m tall and 2.7 m wide of pure red granite, and on its western upper side is a Greek inscription dedicated to Emperor Diocletian. It was named Pompey’s Pillar because, in the Middle Ages, the Crusaders mistakenly believed that the remains of the great Roman general Pompey were located in a pot at the very top of the pillar.

Qaitbay Citadel

The ultimate example of the beauty and might of the Mediterranean Sea. It was constructed in 1477 by Sultan Al-Ashraf Sayf Al-Din Qa’it Bay on top of the legendary lighthouse of Alexandria, the third longest surviving wonder in the ancient world until its destruction by earthquakes between 956 AD and 1323 AD, using the stones salvaged from the lighthouse. Qaitbay Citadel is quite famous as some believe it holds the immortal shining spirit of the Alexandria Lighthouse and contains phenomenal designs for the Islamic era.

Lunch will be served at a seafood restaurant; then you will finish your journey with a visit:

Alexandria Library

One of the most extensive and most advanced libraries in the world, it acts as a commemoration of the ancient Alexandria Library. It is pretty famous as the world’s sixth-largest Francophone library. It is a trilingual library as it contains books in Arabic, English, and French and holds the largest depository of French books in North Africa and the Middle East, plus a collection of some of the rarest books on the planet.

We will transfer you back to your hotel in Cairo overnight.

Alexandria! Wow!

November 7, 2024

Muhammad is the best! He showed me a world I never thought possible! The tombs in Alexandria by far was my favorite! I never knew there was a place on earth that contained both Greek and Egyptian carvings in the same tombs! The history and culture of Egypt is so fascinating! I highly recommend booking with Muhammad!

AMAZING TOUR, SOLO TRAVELER.

October 12, 2024

I am a California woman who traveled to Egypt alone and thanks to Egypt Fun Tours I had a great time. Hani, Mohammed, Kamal and David (my driver) were very professional and very knowledgeable, I appreciate how respectful they were and how protective they were with me.

They show me everything I wanted to see in Cairo and nearby places like Saqqara, Memphis, etc. Thanks to them I had a great time in Egypt, they were so so helpful than on my second day they helped me to move from my hotel in Giza to the Steigenberger hotel in downtown Cairo.

The tour price is super good includes a guide (expert in the field) a driver, lunch and drinks, they took me to amazing places for lunch, the food was super super delicious, for a foodie like me that was a highlight. We went out fo the tourist traps and I got to see the Cairo that if you are in a bus tour you will never get to see.

This tour is personalized for each person depending of what you want to see and do, I absolutely love it.

I used WhatsApp to communicate with Hani and arranged all my tours, Hani was super super nice since the moment I contacted him and explained him what I wanted to do and see.

Hani and his group mesmerized me with the tours they put together, this is a memory I will keep for lifetime.

I had only good things to say about them and I highly recommend them.

I did visit the pyramids in Giza, downtown Cairo, new Cairo, several museums, Coptic Cairo and Muslim Cairo with them and I learned a lot from them, I felt like they were family to me and it was EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT.

If I go back to Egypt I will hire them again without hesitation.

David I take my hat off for you because I have NO IDEA how you can drive in crazy Cairo, thanks to all of you for making this lady’s dream a reality.
