Tour Itinerary
Detailed itinerary of the 4 Days Family Adventure on the Nile
Day 1: Start Your Family Tour Among Aswan’s Wonders: The complete family will go off with their tour guide to see Aswan’s attractions, including:
High Dam at Aswan
To manage the yearly flooding, save water for the man-made Lake Nasser, and generate hydroelectricity, the Aswan High Dam was built in the early 1960s. This invention brought about a miraculous transformation in the cultural and economic landscape.
The Unfinished Obelisk
The fabled Hatshepsut Obelisk, which stood in the Karnak Temple and was to have been 42 meters tall and weighed 1200 tonnes, was never completed (1507–1458 BC).
Temple of Philae
The most astounding tales from Egyptian mythology are contained in the famous Philae Temple. It was built in the Ptolemaic period (7th century BC) to acknowledge the influence of the Goddess Isis of Motherhood.
After lunch and supper, the family will board their 5-star Nile Cruise and spend the night there.
- Food: Lunch and Dinner
Day 2: Explore the Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples: The whole family will have breakfast aboard the Nile Cruise before setting off with their tour guide to learn:
Temple of Kom Ombo
The rare Kom Ombo Double Temple, also known as the Hill of Gold, is devoted to Horus the Elder and the crocodile deity Sobek of the Nile. It was built during the Ptolemaic era, between 180 BC and 47 BC, to put some light on a lot of significant scientific knowledge at the time.
Temple of Edfu
One of the best-preserved temples was built during the Greco-Roman period, between 237 BC and 57 BC, on the same site where Horus fought his wicked uncle Set. It is called Edfu Temple, and it is dedicated to the deity of victory and protection, the sky falcon god Horus.
The whole family will return to their Nile Cruise for lunch, supper, and overnight lodging.
- Breakfast, lunch, and dinner
Day 3: Explore Luxor’s heavenly wonders: The whole family will have breakfast, check out, and then go in a private A/C vehicle with your tour guide to see:
The Kings’ Valley
The Valley of the Kings is located in the center of a heavenly hill that served as the location of 63 tombs for legendary pharaohs and queens, including Tutankhamun, Seti I, the entire Ramses Dynasty, and many others, for more than 500 years during the New Kingdom (1570–1050 BC). These tombs contained incredible treasures, decorations, artifacts, and more.
Temple of Hatshepsut
To commemorate the heritage and accomplishments of Hatshepsut and to host the valley festival in the sanctuary of Amun, the temple was cut into the Deir el-Bahari cliffs in the fifteenth century BC.
Memnon’s Colossi
The remaining remnants of Pharaoh Amenhotep III’s vanished funerary temple are two quartzite twin sculptures known as the Colossi of Memnon (1386–1350 BC).
Before visiting, the complete family will take a break for lunch:
Sacred Complex of Karnak
A hub for the religious life of ancient Egypt, the Karnak Temple Complex was constructed over 247 acres over 1500 years, from the Middle Kingdom (2000-1700 BCE) through the Ptolemaic Kingdom (305-30 BCE). It is the largest outdoor museum and is home to the Great Hypostyle Hall, and several Amun-Re and Mut precincts, among other things.
After supper, the whole family will spend the night on board.
