The Giza Pyramids Complex has served as the hub for grandeur and the most alluring archaeological sights for more than 4600 years, including:

The Great Pyramid of Giza, built in 2600 BC, stands 147 meters (481 feet) tall and consists of 2.3 million limestone blocks, each weighing 2.5 tonnes. It serves as the ultimate resting place of Pharaoh Khufu (2609 BC–2584 BC). In addition, the great hall, the queen’s chamber, and many more rooms are within the Pyramid, showcasing the architectural brilliance of ancient Egypt.

The Great Sphinx: Artists sculpted the mystic statue of King Khafre (2558 BC–2532 BC) to be an alluring and timeless representation of courage and knowledge. Moreover, archaeologists discovered the Dream Stele of Thutmose IV in the Sphinx’s paws in 1404 BC, adding to the rich history and significance of this iconic monument.

The Valley Temple:

Before being interred in the great pyramids of Giza, the whole fourth dynasty was mummified in the valley temple of the ancient kingdom (2700–2200 BC).

After enjoying lunch with a breathtaking view of the Pyramids and the Nile, the entire party will then proceed with their tour guide to the following locations:

Saqqara Step Pyramid: The remarkable Saqqara Step Pyramid was built between 2670 and 2650 BC as Imhotep’s funeral pyramid complex for his Pharaoh Djoser. It features six steps that line up with the four cardinal directions.

City of Memphis: Memphis, the earliest capital of Egypt that has been historically recorded, was built in 3200 BC thanks to Pharaoh Narmer, who also served as Egypt’s unifier.

All members of the Egypt Group will return to their hotel to spend the night there.

  • breakfast and lunch
  • Hotel in Cairo overnight

Day 3: Explore Old Cairo’s classical monuments:

The whole party will eat breakfast at their Cairo hotel before traveling in a private A/C vehicle with their tour guide to see:

The Egyptian Museum, which was built in 1901, is a notable landmark in Cairo and is renowned for being the first museum of its sort.

Have lunch in Cairo before traveling to:

Citadel of Salah El Din: Since its completion in 1182 AD, the fortress of Salah El-Din has served as Cairo’s protector, spreading its wings over the whole city. For over 700 years, it served as the seat of power, and it is renowned for housing a variety of beautiful art galleries, museums, and mosques.

Mosque of Mohamed Ali: The magnificent mosque of Mohammed Ali is a work of art and history like no other since it displays the extent to which Ottoman architecture influenced the mosque when it was built in 1848 AD.

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization showcases 20 royal mummies and 50,000 artifacts. These items represent the 5,000-year-old ancient Egyptian civilization. Furthermore, NMEC is a state-of-the-art museum that opened to the public in 2017.

Market in Khan El Khalili: The Khan El Khalili illumination market is a heavenly street brimming with marvels, artwork, and tales from the earliest Islamic period, dating back to 970 AD. Consequently, it provides visitors from all over the world with the most enthralling shopping experience.

The entire group will return to their Cairo hotel to spend the night.

Amazing tour to the pyramids of Sakkara and Dahshur

January 1, 2025

This week we had a great tour with Mohamed to the pyramids of Sakkara and Dahshur as well as Memphis. He tailored the tour to our preferences, took a lot of time with us and gave us detailed background information on everything. It was also great that he never tired of taking the time to answer our many questions.

You can definitely tell that he has studied Egyptology as he has a very deep understanding of the subject and can explain everything well. He also speaks perfect English and is really good driver.

We would definitely book a tour with him again in a heartbeat and would recommend him to anyone. 🙂

Amazing Egypt Fun Tours

December 22, 2024

Highly Recommend Egypt Fun Tours!

Several weeks ago, I reached out to Egypt Fun Tours regarding a 9-hour layover in Cairo. From the very beginning, Hani Ahmed was responsive and professional, quickly providing a well-organized itinerary tailored to our limited time. The itinerary included a visit to the pyramids, other historical sites, a delicious dinner, and even a quick stop for souvenir shopping.

Upon arrival, Gilman efficiently assisted us in obtaining our day tourist visas (note: $25 per person in cash). She then introduced us to our guide, Mydo, who was absolutely phenomenal! Mydo’s knowledge, friendly demeanor, and ability to adjust the tour to our pace made the experience unforgettable.

We returned to the airport with plenty of time to relax before our flight. The entire experience was smooth, stress-free, and incredibly memorable. Egypt Fun Tours offers reasonable prices for a private, customized experience that truly exceeds expectations. Thank you, Egypt Fun Tours! We will definitely use your services again in the future.

Alexandria! Wow!

November 7, 2024

Muhammad is the best! He showed me a world I never thought possible! The tombs in Alexandria by far was my favorite! I never knew there was a place on earth that contained both Greek and Egyptian carvings in the same tombs! The history and culture of Egypt is so fascinating! I highly recommend booking with Muhammad!
