Cruise Itinerary

Detailed itinerary of the 7-Night Nile Cruise from Aswan Package

Day 1: Board the Cruise and Visit the Attractions in Aswan: Early in the morning, we’ll pick you up from your hotel to begin your tour, taking you to see some of Aswan’s most well-known tourist attractions, starting with:

High Dam of Aswan: At Aswan, a bridge over the Nile was constructed. Egypt’s economy and culture have greatly benefited from the construction of the Aswan High Dam, which took place between 1960 and 1970.

The Unfinished Obelisk: The largest ancient obelisk that is known. It may have been ordered by Queen Hatshepsut (1508 1458 BC) to accompany the Lateran Obelisk, which was initially at Karnak before being transported to the Lateran Palace in Rome.

Temple of Philae: Isis of Love and Beauty is the goddess of the Philae Temple. As part of the UNESCO Nubia Campaign initiative, the temple complex was deconstructed and transported to neighboring Agilkia Island, safeguarding it and other monuments before the Aswan High Dam was completed in 1970.

Following that, we’ll take you to the 5* Nile Cruise where you may enjoy lunch and the remainder of the day. Meals {L.D}

Day 2: Tour the Kom Ombo Temple and take a boat to Esna: After breakfast, set sail for Kom Ombo, where you will meet your Egyptologist by contemporary A/C vehicle to visit:

Temple of Kom Ombo: A temple with a view of the Nile is Kom Ombo. It will be interesting to see this historical location because this temple is separated into two temples with two entrances, two hypostyle halls, and two sanctuaries.

After eating lunch, keep sailing to Edfu. On the ship, spend the night. Meals {B.L.D}

Day 3: A Day at Sea, Free: While traveling to Luxor city, have breakfast and a free day on the ship. Sailing onward to Luxor during the night. Meals {B.L.D}

Day 4: Visit Luxor East Bank Attractions: After breakfast, you’ll meet your own Egyptologist tour guide to explore the ancient Egyptian sites along Luxor’s east bank. Stops include:

The Karnak temple is Egypt’s most spectacular structure. It is the biggest temple complex ever constructed by humans and marks the culmination of the labors of numerous pharaohs and generations of ancient builders. On 247 acres of land, the Temple of Karnak consists of three main temples, smaller enclosed temples, and other peripheral temples.

After lunch, return to your Nile cruise to unwind. We will take you up in the evening to enjoy:

Luxor Temple by Night: The most significant event, the festival of Opet, was centered at the Luxor Temple. The temple served as a location for the festival’s rites and was mostly constructed by Amenhotep III and Rameses II. The purpose of the event was to reconcile the ruler’s human side with his celestial role.

Returning to your ship to spend the night. Meals {B.L.D}

Day 5: Visit Luxor West Bank Attractions: Enjoy your breakfast while you cruise, then get ready to resume your itinerary for your 7-night Nile cruise with a visit to the West Bank of Luxor.

The Kings’ Valley: It is home to tombs for Ramses II and Tutankhamun. It is the ultimate resting place of Egypt’s kings from the 18th to the 20th dynasty. The tombs were well-stocked with everything a monarch may require in the afterlife. The majority of the interior décor of the tombs has been beautifully conserved.

Temple of Hatshepsut: of the most exquisite and well-preserved of all the Egyptian temples. The temple was constructed on three levels, with two large ramps connecting the floors in the center.

Memnon’s Colossi: The only remnants of a complete funerary temple are two huge stone statues of King Amenhotep III. Blocks of quartzite sandstone that were once in Cairo were transported 700 kilometers to create the statues.

After lunch, return to the ship. Luxor, spend the night. Meals {B.L.D}

Day 6: Visit Edfu Temple and return by boat to Aswan: Enjoy your breakfast as you sail to Edfu in the morning, then meet your tour guide to explore the temple of the ancient Egyptian god Horus:

Edfu Temple: The Edfu Temple is the most well-preserved Greco-Roman structure in all of Egypt, and a “Play” depicting Horus’ victory over the malevolent god Seth is painted on its walls.

Go back to the ship and keep going until you reach Aswan. Aswan, spend the night. Meals {B.L.D}

Day 7: Visit the Temple of Abu Simbel: Get your breakfast boxes early in the morning and then we’ll drive you in a private A/C car southwest of Aswan to the magnificent temple of King Ramses II:

Temples of Abu Simbel: These Temples were built in 1244 B.C. to commemorate King Ramses the Great’s victory at the Battle of Kadesh, Abu Simbel’s two temples were cut out of a sandstone cliff. The temple is divided into two halves; one was built for the monarch, while the other was made as a memorial to his adored wife Queen Nefertari as a representation of his enduring love.

Following that, we will return you to the cruise where you will have lunch and spend the night. Meals {B.L.D}

Day 8: Depart Aswan to conclude your 7-night Nile cruise: After breakfast, check out and go to Aswan, where your upper Egypt trip will come to a close. B. Meals

What People Say About Us
5/5

Thank you Egypt Fun Tours for a most memorable trip. I admit I didn’t do any of the planning (it was all done by my boyfriend) but as you can read in the reviews below Hani (the owner of Egypt Fun Tours) is superbly organized and accommodating with scheduling.

My boyfriend and I, and our dearest mutual friend, booked the 7Days-6Nights tour. In short time, we visited Cairo, Aswan, and Luxor sailing down the down the Nile, pit stopping to see key sites at these location – and so much more!!! We got to know the ancient and modern egypt in depth thanks to Hani’s impressive knowledge. He also enlightened us on the people and their beliefs and went as far as showing us what a typical life looks like. I cannot express the level of personalized service Hani offered us. He was flexible to adapt to our requirements and added sites to our schedule that was not part of the tour simply to ensure we were 100% satisfied with our experience in Egypt.

I went to Egypt practically blind-folded, not knowing what to expect, especially considering the time we had decided to go (December 2020 – we were the first group that Hani met with after months of having to put his tour agency on hold considering the pandemic) yet he managed to surpass all of our expectations. I felt so incredibly lucky for us to have stumbled on Hani. I would recommend Egypt Fun Tours to anyone and everyone. It was truly, HANDS DOWN, the best cultural experience I’ve ever had. You’ll be in the best of hands.

Nille cruise,Luxor and Aswan where amazing sites to see, specially when you have with you the best tour guide in Egypt .Hamada was absolutely fantastic, lots of information and some of them not spoken by others. This guy was not only a simple tour guide for us, he became a good friend also. Was a one in lifetime experience. Highly recommend Fun Tours. Really a great experience.

Hamada was incredible! So knowledgeable and kind. He had information about every item, street corner, and relic we looked at. Any questions we had, he had answers! He even made sure to give us tips while walking through the crowds so that’s we would feel more comfortable when being approached by vendors. Oh and the food?! He took us to the best places! Delicious food!! We tried Egyptian fried chicken, falafel for the first time, the best shawarma in the city (we love food). We even got to meet his beautiful wife and children and try some “French” Egyptian coffee in their home! Truly made friends for life!! We’ve promised to host him and the family when they travel to America for the first time! Such an incredible experience, and Hamada (and family) made it that much more memorable and amazing!

Excellent trip to historic sites with no one else around. We came to see Egypt while most places still had COVID19 fears. The staff at Egypt Fun Tours were professional, safe, and great to deal with. Very helpful, knowledgeable, and entertaining. I feel like I just got a a year of Egyptology in the last week and we had all the sites to ourselves due to COVID19. While people are shutting down and staying home you should feel safe to come explore with Egypt Fun Tours and have the place to yourself.
