Day 1: Land in Egypt and See the Giza Pyramids

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, Egypt Fun Tours will warmly welcome you. Then, he will assist you with the formalities of your arrival. Afterward, one of our knowledgeable tour guides will transport you to Cairo’s main historical monuments, including:

Giza Pyramids Complex:

Your journey begins at the Giza Pyramids, Egypt’s most visited site. Here, you will find three mysterious ancient pyramids. These structures are the final resting places of the most well-known monarchs from the 4th dynasty. The most spectacular pyramid belongs to Pharaoh Cheops, once the tallest building in the world.

The Great Sphinx:

Afterward, you will visit the Great Sphinx, a colossal figure with a human head and a lion’s body. Constructed from local limestone during King Chephren’s reign, this iconic sculpture symbolizes power. Historians have long debated its purpose and significance.

The Valley Temple:

Just a few feet from the Great Sphinx you will find the remarkable Valley Temple. Built in the 26th century BC, this temple was once Pharaoh Chephren’s residence. It later served as a mummification site for kings and nobles, preparing them for the afterlife. After your exploration, enjoy lunch at a fancy restaurant. This ancient limestone fortress served as the capital of Egypt for over 600 years. Built on the eastern edge of the city, it was designed to fend off Crusader invasions. The citadel features magnificent mosques, palaces, and terraces.

Mosque of Mohamed Ali:

Known as the best Islamic monument in Cairo, this mosque was commissioned by Muhammed Ali Pasha. Construction began in 1830, led by the brilliant architect Yousuf Bushnak. The mosque, often referred to as “The Alabaster Mosque,” features a stunning 52-meter-tall dome and beautifully decorated alabaster walls.

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization:
