Day 1: Fly from Hurghada to Cairo – Uncover Ancient Wonders

In the morning, an “Egypt Fun Tours” representative picks you up from your Hurghada hotel for a flight to Cairo. Your two-day Cairo and Alexandria adventure from Hurghada begins! Upon arrival at Cairo airport, your Egyptologist tour guide greets you. They will accompany you to discover the history of ancient Egyptian Pharaohs at one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

Explore the Giza Pyramids Complex

Your first stop is the magnificent Giza Pyramids Complex. This vast complex dates back to the 4th dynasty, around 2400 B.C., and features three main pyramids, six smaller pyramids, the Great Sphinx, and the Valley Temple.

  • The Great Pyramid: This pyramid belongs to King Khufu. It stands as the oldest and largest of the three Giza Plateau pyramids and remains the only intact wonder of the Ancient World. The Great Pyramid reaches a height of 147m, consists of 2,300,000 stones, and took twenty years to build.
  • The Great Sphinx: Belonging to King Chephren, the Great Sphinx is the world’s largest statue, measuring 73m long, 19m wide, and 20m high. It is also the oldest known monumental sculpture.
  • The Valley Temple: This granite mortuary temple was crucial for ancient Egyptian mummification processes. It remains the only one of its kind on the Giza plateau.

Enjoy lunch at a restaurant offering spectacular Pyramids or Nile views. Afterward, you’ll move on to your next fascinating destination.

Discover Treasures at The Egyptian Museum

Visit The Egyptian Museum, which proudly displays a rare collection spanning 5000 years of art. Over 250,000 genuine ancient Egyptian artifacts fill its halls, including a dedicated exhibit showcasing Tutankhamun’s incredible collection of treasure, gold, and jewelry, sealed in his tomb for over 3,500 years. After your enriching day, you head to your 5-star hotel in Cairo for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Tour Alexandria Tourist Attractions & Return to Hurghada

Enjoy breakfast and check out from your hotel. Then, embark on a fascinating private tour to Alexandria with your private Egyptologist tour guide.

Descend into the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa

Explore the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, a Roman burial site. Its family tomb uniquely reveals a merging of Egyptian and Roman art and architecture. Descend below ground to visit the tomb and Caracalla Hall. Back above ground, continue your trip by visiting.

Marvel at Pompey’s Pillar

See Pompey’s Pillar, an 82-foot (25-meter) granite column. Builders erected it to honor Emperor Diocletian, who freed the besieged city and brought food to its starving people.

Explore Qaitbay Citadel

Visit Qaitbay Citadel, a 15th-century fortress situated on the Mediterranean seacoast. Sultan Al-Ashraf Qa’it Bay established it in 1477 AD on the site of ancient Pharos Island.

Enjoy lunch at a seafood restaurant. Afterward, you’ll conclude your tour with a visit to your final stop.

Discover Knowledge at Alexandria Library

Explore the Alexandria Library, one of the world’s great literary sites. It preserves a copy of every book published globally. The library also houses several exhibitions detailing Egyptian history and displays rare antique books. At the end of your tour, we transfer you to Cairo airport for your flight back to Hurghada. Upon arrival, a car will transfer you to your hotel, concluding your memorable Cairo and Alexandria tour from Hurghada.
