Edfu and Kom Ombo from Luxor

The Edfu & Kom Ombo trip from Luxor is a fantastic adventure that examines all the sacred stories and customs that the ancient Egyptians were able to preserve. As you embark on your adventure, you can expect a seamless blend of cultural exploration and personal discovery. We accomplish this by providing each traveler with a private Egyptologist tour guide, a private A/C vehicle, and a personalized day trip from Luxor to the Kom Ombo and Edfu temples. Upon your return from your Luxor hotel or Nile River cruise, you will enjoy this exclusive experience. You may learn about the timeless creativity and magical prowess of ancient Egypt by enrolling in their intriguing journey.

An “Egypt Fun Tours” representative will pick you up from your hotel in Luxor. You will then begin your tour.

Edfu Temple

You will visit the majestic Edfu Temple, dedicated to the falcon-headed god Horus. Most consider this to be the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt. According to Egyptian myths, it was the place where Horus avenged his father Osiris’s murder by killing Seth.

Lunch and Kom Ombo Temple

After visiting Edfu, you will have lunch at a local restaurant. Then, you will transfer to the Kom Ombo Temple, which stands on high ground overlooking the Nile.

The Kom Ombo Temple is unique because of its double entrance. Each side is dedicated to a different deity. One side honors “Haroeris,” represented by a falcon head. The other side honors “Sobek,” who has a crocodile head. Builders constructed the temple in honor of these two deities: Sobek, the crocodile-headed god of fertility and creator of the world, and Haroeris, the ancient falcon-headed Horus. Kom Ombo also has large sugar cane fields. Finally, a representative will transfer you back to your hotel or Nile cruise in Luxor.

Good but did not get what I paid for…

I had an 11 hour layover in Cairo. I wrote to them based on recent reviews for them on this site. After a few email exchanges with Hati, who I think is one of the owners, I was ready to get there. I was greeted by Hatem, a very good

Great layover Tour!!

I had an excellent layover tour with Hani. He is knowledgable, fun, and passionate about his city. I went for a tour of the pyramids, sphinx, and to a papyrus factory which were all great. Ask him any question about Egyptian history and he will surely know the answer! Also

One of the best tours I have ever had!

I was thoroughly impressed by the professionalism of this tour company. I emailed to inquire about the Cairo layover tour about 30 hours before my flight was scheduled to leave from New York. I was pleasantly surprised to get a quick response confirming the tour and assuring that a guide

Egypt Fun Tours – Does it All!

My husband and I visited Egypt in March 2013. First, let me say, ‘Go, go, go!’ – it’s safer and definitely friendlier than many places we’ve visited. Tourism is drastically down – thanks mostly to media misinformation – so it’s a great time to visit to avoid line-ups and crowds

Superbly organized

I can’t recommend them enough. I got into Cairo on a 12-hour layover at 2:00 AM. By 3:15 Hani and his driver were meeting me at the airport. For the next five hours we strolled through lovely downtown Cairo & over the Nile, wandered through (friendly, well-organized) Tahrir Square, toured
