Tour Itinerary

A representative from Egypt Fun Tours will meet you at the cruise exit door in Alexandria. They will then drive you in an air-conditioned car to El Alamein for a day trip.

El Alamein: World War II History

El Alamein is about 110 kilometers from Alexandria. You will explore the World War II relics and cemeteries there. The Battle of El Alamein was a pivotal moment in the war.

First, visit the Military Museum. It showcases weaponry, military gear, and tanks. You’ll also see exhibits detailing the actions of Montgomery, Rommel, and other combat participants.

Next, explore the WW II Cemeteries. These cemeteries sit on a small peninsula facing the sea on the outskirts of town. A citadel-like structure, this cemetery is the resting place for Commonwealth, Greek, Italian, and German troops.

After a short break for lunch, you will return to Alexandria to board your cruise ship.
