Tour Itinerary

Detailed itinerary of the 10-Day Egypt Tour of Cairo, Nile cruise & Sahara

Day 1: Welcome to the Pharaohs’ Land: Once you arrive at Cairo International Airport, where our company representative will be waiting for you with a sign bearing the words “Egypt Fun Tours” your 10-day Egypt trip package will begin. You will then receive assistance with completing your travel arrangements and having your luggage inspected before being driven to a luxury, air-conditioned hotel in Cairo where you may settle in and unwind for a while. Before being driven back to your hotel for the night, a very spectacular Nile dinner cruise will be waiting for you by the evening with the most fascinating traditional shows and local musical parties that highlight Egyptian culture and traditions.

Day 2: Visit the Museum and Pyramids of Giza: You will enjoy your breakfast in the morning before your Egyptologist drives you in a contemporary A/C van to see:

Giza Pyramids Complex: The most brilliant historical site in Egypt is the Giza Pyramids complex, which honors the rulers of the 4th dynasty. The site, which is situated on the Giza Plateau, was established by Pharaoh Cheops, who also owned the largest pyramid there. Numerous urban legends claimed that 100,000 people had contributed to the building process.

The Great Sphinx of Giza: The Sphinx, which is composed of granite and has the head of Pharaoh Chephren on it, is the finest example of human engineering in history. The artwork is always located to the northwest of the Cheops Pyramid.

The Valley Temple: It belonged to Pharaoh Chephren and was built next to a small lake that was connected to the Nile, which explains how the building supplies got to the location. The temple contains 23 magnificent statues of Khafre as well as gorgeous pink-granite columns.

The following steps will be made while you are in Cairo during lunchtime:

The Egyptian Museum: The Cairo Museum, which is in the center of the capital city, is home to a magnificent exhibition of more than 250,000 spectacular objects that illustrate the most prosperous eras in the history of Ancient Egypt.

We’ll take you back to your Cairo hotel.

Day 3: Visit the East Bank of Luxor: You will meet your expert Egyptologist in Luxor, who will accompany you on your Nile cruise tour. The first stop will be at the East Bank of Luxor, which includes:

Karnak Temple: The most well-known religious building is the 2055 BC-old Karnak Temple. The House of Amun is the name of a complex of temples that spans more than two square kilometers and is devoted to the divinity “Amun-Ra.”

After being picked up, you will be transported to join a 5-star luxury Nile cruise for lunch before being taken to see:

Luxor Temple by Night: Luxor Temple is a genuinely enormous ancient Egyptian temple complex that was built by Pharaoh Amenhotep III during the New Kingdom. Many Egyptian monarchs are thought to have had their coronations at the Luxor Temple. The location was used for religious ceremonies in addition to coronation events.

On your Nile cruise, you will spend the night.

Day 4: Visit the West Bank of Luxor: After breakfast on board, you will meet your knowledgeable tour guide to continue your excursion in Luxor by touring the west bank’s top attractions in a contemporary A/C van. These highlights include:

Temple of Hatshepsut: As the first monarch of the nation and one of its finest leaders, Queen Hatshepsut belonged to the 18th dynasty. Her rule was renowned for being tranquil and prosperous, particularly in trade and building. She insisted on building her temple to honor the gods and decorating it with her magnificent creations as a result.

The Kings’ Valley: The largest royal burial site in history, which dates to the New Kingdom, was found on the west bank of the Nile (1550-1069 BC). There are 63 royal tombs in the Valley of the Kings, including Tutankhamun’s well-known tomb, which Howard Carter stumbled upon in 1922.

Memnon’s Colossi: When visiting Luxor, you must check it out. The twin, enormous sculptures of Amenhotep III that make up the Colossi of Memnon are situated at the entrance to his mortuary temple, which was destroyed for an unidentified reason.

You will be moved to your Nile cruise where you will spend the night at sea.

Day 5: Explore the Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples: Your tour guide will accompany you in a horse-drawn carriage in the morning to the following locations:

Temple of Edfu: One of Egypt’s best-preserved buildings is the Temple of Edfu, which dates to the Ptolemaic Kingdom and was built between 237 BC and 57 BC. The engravings on its walls contain priceless sayings from the Hellenistic Period regarding myth, religion, and language.

Sail to Kom Ombo while enjoying your lunch on board, and upon arrival, you will be taken to see:

Temple of Kom Ombo: It is an unusual Sobek and Horus twin temple that was constructed between 108 and 47 BC during the Ptolemaic Reign. Because it is devoted to two separate gods, the Kom Ombo temple has two entrances and two sanctuaries.

Go back to the Nile cruise and keep going until you reach Aswan.

Day 6: Marvel at The Abu Simbel Great Temples: Your tour guide will pick you up from the Nile cruise in the early morning in a contemporary A/C van to begin your fascinating journey to see:

Temples of Abu Simbel: Built during the era of Ramses II to commemorate the king’s victory at the Battle of Kadesh, the Abu Simbel temple complex is two distinct rock-cut temples located about 230 km southwest of Aswan. The site was built over around 20 years, starting in 1264 BC.

For lunch and overnight, we’ll drive you back to the Nile cruise.

Day 7: Tour of Aswan’s attractions: After breakfast, check out and then proceed with your tour guide to the top historical sites in Aswan, such as:

The High Dam: The Aswan High Dam, built between 1960 and 1970, is Egypt’s most brilliant construction accomplishment. The High Dam was designed to have better control over the Nile floods and is 111 meters high, 1 kilometer wide, and 3.5 kilometers long.

Temple of Philae: The Temple of Philae was built in 690 AD to commemorate the goddess Isis and was a genuinely outstanding example of the cult that was created around the myth of Isis and Osiris. It was an ancient Egyptian center for the religion of Isis.

The Unfinished Obelisk: One of the most well-known obelisks in Egypt is the Unfinished Obelisk, which was built by Queen Hatshepsut, who ruled the nation from 1478 to 1458 BC. The largest obelisk ever carved measures 42 meters in length and weighs 1100 tonnes.

Following lunch at a fine dining establishment, you’ll take a flight back to Cairo, where you’ll be taken to a 5-star hotel for the remainder of the day.

Day 8: Begin your desert journey: We will transfer you: in the early morning.

Oasis of Bahariya: After eating lunch in Al-Bawaiti City, a Toyota Land Cruiser will transport you to the Black Desert and the Bedouin village of El Hez Shower. Drive on to Crystal Mountain exploration, then turn off to Agabat Area, or “The Wonders Area,” for sandboarding. Finally, we’ll drive to the Old White Desert to see places like the Flower Stone, Tents Valley, and Mushroom.

Enjoy some Bedouin entertainment, Bedouin tea, a barbecue dinner, and an overnight desert camping trip.

Day 9: Continue the desert excursion and return to Cairo: Enjoy capturing some special dawn pictures, then have breakfast and visit a hot spring before returning to Cairo, where you can eat lunch at a neighborhood restaurant before being driven to a five-star hotel for the night.

Day 10: Finish Your 10-Day Egypt Tour of Cairo, Nile cruise & Sahara, and Return Home:

Before checking out, have breakfast at the hotel. Your driver will then drive you in a private A/C car to Cairo International Airport for your last departure.

Day trip to Wadi el Hitan and Wadi el Rayan

July 9, 2024

We went on a full day trip to Wadi el Hitan and Wadi el Rayan with Mohamed (Hamada). Mohamed was a wonderful guide, always making sure we had plenty of water and enough to eat, and providing us with information about the area and Egypt more generally. He also gave us plenty of time to explore by ourselves. We would highly recommend Egypt Fun Tours and Mohamed.
