Passport and visa requirements – Visitors to Egypt generally need a passport that is valid for at least six months from the date of entry, as well as a visa.

We recommend you purchase travel insurance. It can cover unexpected events or emergencies that may arise during your trip. While not a requirement, it is a good idea.

Cash/Credit Cards – It is important to have some cash on hand, as well as a credit card that is widely accepted in Egypt, for purchases and emergencies.

Flight and Accommodation Reservations – It’s important to have your flight and accommodation reservations in order before traveling to Egypt. This includes booking a Nile cruise if that’s part of your travel plans.

Clothing – Considering Egypt’s conservative culture, it’s recommended to pack conservative clothing that covers your shoulders and knees for visits to religious sites.
