On the first day, you will be picked up from your Makadi Bay hotel by an AC vehicle to begin your two-day trip to Luxor and Abu Simbel. When you arrive, you will be met by a private tour guide who will show you:
The Valley of Kings
Your Makadi bay excursions will take you inside the mountain to a heavenly necropolis that serves as a haven for 63 mesmerizing tombs dating from the new kingdom (1570-1070 BC) and containing incredible treasures, golden artifacts, captivating decorations, and the remains of famous pharaohs such as King Rameses II, Tutankhamun, and others.
Temple of Hatshepsut
On the first day of your magical day tour to Luxor, you will see one of Egypt’s most protected archaeological and attractive destinations, “Deir El-Bahari” A.K.A Djeser-Djeseru (Holy of Holies), which stands as the finest example of ancient Egyptian architecture and showcases Queen Hatshepsut’s great long heritage (1478-1485 BC).
During the two-day journey from Makadi Bay to Luxor and Abu Simbel, you will have the opportunity to see an 18-meter-high (60-foot-tall) marvel at the gateway to Luxor. The Colossi of Memnon were built to resemble Pharaoh Amenhotep III (1386-1350) and were destroyed by an earthquake in 27 BC, only to be reassembled in 199 BC.
Lunch will be provided on an island, followed by a boat ride on the Nile, before you go to:
Temple of Karnak
The two-day excursion from Makadi Bay to Luxor and Abu Simbel will allow exploring one of the largest religious man-made buildings and open-door museums on the planet since 1500 BC on 247 acres that houses different temples that functioned as the worship center of the Theban triad.
You will then be driven to the railway station to catch your first-class train to Aswan, where we will bring you straight to your hotel for the night.
Day 2: Tour to Abu Simbel and return to Makadi Bay
You will have your breakfast boxes and check out of the hotel in the early morning, then join your private tour guide for a visit to the famed Abu Simbel.
Temples of Abu Simbel
Your two-day Makadi Bay excursion to Luxor and Abu Simbel is a remarkable road to a heavenly masterpiece created in 1200 BC by Ramses the Great to immortalize his triumphant legacy and name, as well as to exhibit his love for his wife Queen Nefertari. It was built between 1264 BC and 1244 BC to celebrate the ancient Egyptian deities via the miracle sun festival, which happens on the 22nd of February and the 22nd of October each year.
After your tour, we will drive you to Aswan for lunch at a local restaurant before boarding your first-class train to Luxor, where you will be transferred back to your Makadi Bay hotel. Note: You may share your opinions and suggestions regarding adding or eliminating any portion of your trip schedule so that we can fit your needs.
