The Giza Pyramid of Pharaoh Khufu was one of the final seven marvels of the ancient world when it was built around 2600 BC. Its vizier Hemiunu created magnificent designs, which include the king’s chamber, the great hall, and many others. It is the tallest and largest building in the world, standing 147 meters (481 feet) tall and made of 3.2 million limestone stones weighing a total of 6 million tonnes.

From a single piece of limestone, the legendary Sphinx of Pharaoh Khafre (2558–2532 BC) was carved about 2500 BC. It is a timeless work of art and is regarded as one of the biggest and oldest sculptures ever created by humans. The fabled Steele of Thutmose IV, which was added about 1404 BC, is placed before the sphinx.
