3- Choose What suits your preferences

In one single trip, you can not take in all the above-listed attractions. However, it is important to know what’s in there so you can decide what to pick according to your preferences.

Typically, Egypt travelers do the classical path from Cairo, along the Nile River all the way up to Abu Simbel in the south, and then fly back to Cairo either to leave the country from Cairo airport or spend a day or two in Alexandria before departure. Also, some travelers love to spend a couple of days by the shores and beaches, and some other travelers prefer to book the entire trip by the Red Sea and travel overland from there to all the surrounding attractions and cities.

Adventure buffs most likely will choose to spend more time exploring the desert sightseeing and enjoying water activities by the Red Sea shores and beaches.

4- Know The Best Order of Domestic Travel

After deciding on which attractions/things you are interested in, the next step is to know how to start and where to go first.

Discover Egypt Famed Pyramids first in Cairo

On your first day of tours in Egypt, you should go to the Cairo Pyramids first, followed by the Saqqara Pyramids and the Memphis Museum.

Board the Nile Cruise to Explore the sites of Luxor and Aswan

Typically, after Cairo, people take the sleeper train or fly to Aswan to start a Nile cruise experience to explore Luxor and Aswan attractions like Karnak temple, Luxor temple, Kings Valley, Hatshepsut’s temple, & Memnon colossi. In Aswan, explore Philae, the Temple of Love, the Unfinished Obelisk, the High Dam, and the Abu Simbel temples. After 3 or 4 nights on the cruise, fly back from Luxor to Cairo.

More of Cairo sightseeing

Visit the Egyptian Antiquities Museum, Islamic and Coptic Cairo, and the tourist bazaar at Khan El-Khalili.

Tag a day in Alexandria to see what the city has to offer.

All the must-sees of Alexandria we mentioned earlier in the post can be seen in one single day.

5: How much does a trip to Egypt cost?

The average cost of the tour package is from $100 to $200 per day per person, depending on the number of participants, accommodation category level, service, transportation, etc.
