Egypt is one of the oldest and most historically rich countries in the world, attracting millions of visitors each year. With so many places to explore, two weeks may still not be enough to see everything, but it’s certainly enough to experience the best that Egypt has to offer. In this article, we’ll take you on a 14-day journey that will help you uncover the mysteries and beauty of Egypt.

Day 1-2: Cairo:

Begin your tour in the bustling capital city of Cairo. Giza Plateau is just a short drive from the city center and is home to the famous Pyramids of Giza, the only remaining Wonder of the Ancient World. Here, you’ll also see the Sphinx, which has been guarding the pyramids for over 4,500 years. The nearby Saqqara necropolis contains more ancient Egyptian tombs and pyramids worth exploring.

Day 3-5: Luxor and the Valley of the Kings:

Catch an early flight to Luxor, which was once the ancient capital of Egypt. The Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens, where many pharaohs and their queens were buried, should be first on your list of places to visit. Afterward, take a trip to the Temple of Karnak, known for its striking architecture and history.

Day 6-8: Aswan and Abu Simbel:

Travel down Egypt’s Nile River to Aswan, situated in the south of the country. Here, you’ll find the island temple of Philae, as well as the High Dam. From there, take a fascinating journey to Abu Simbel, which is home to the awe-inspiring temples of Ramses II and his queen, Nefertari.

Day 9–10: Alexandria:

Return to Cairo to catch your flight to the enchanting city of Alexandria on the Mediterranean coast. Take a stroll around the beautiful Montazah Palace and its gardens, which overlook the ocean. Marvel at the stunning, ancient catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa and visit the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, a modern library with a rich history.

Day 11–14: Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh:

Relax and end your Egyptian tour with a well-deserved chill on the beaches of Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh. Here, you can indulge in water sports, like snorkeling and scuba diving, or just soak up the sun.
