Tour Itinerary
Detailed itinerary of the Luxor and Abu Simbel from Marsa Alam for 2 Days trip
Day 1: Transfer to Luxor – Visit Luxor Attractions
We will pick you up from your hotel in Marsa Alam by a private modern A.C. car to enjoy Abu Simbel & Luxor Trips from Marsa Alam. Upon arrival to Luxor, you will be accompanied by your private Egyptologist guide to visit the famous historical sites including:
Valley of the Kings
The final resting place of Egypt’s rulers from the 18th to the 20th dynasties was home to tombs including the great pharaoh Ramses II and boy pharaoh Tutankhamun. The tombs were well stocked with all the material goods a ruler might need in the next world. Most of the decoration inside the tombs is still well preserved.
Hatshepsut Temple
It is one of the most beautiful & best preserved of all of the temples of Ancient Egypt. The temple was built on three levels with two wide ramps in a central position joining the levels together.
Colossi of Memnon
Two massive stone statues of King Amenhotep III are the only remains of a complete mortuary temple. The statues are made from blocks of quartzite sandstone that exist in Cairo and then moved 700 KM to Luxor. Lunch will be served at an oriental Nile view restaurant, then join your private guide to enjoy:
Karnak Temple
No site in Egypt is more impressive than Karnak. It is the largest temple complex ever built by man. It represents the combined achievement of many generations of ancient builders and Pharaohs. The Temple of Karnak is three main temples situated on 247 acres of land.
Then you will be transferred to the train station in Luxor to catch your first-class train to Aswan. Upon arrival, you will escort one of our representatives who will turn you to your 5* hotel in Aswan overnight.
Day 2: Tour to Abu Simbel – Back to Marsa Alam
Early morning, get your breakfast box then join your private tour guide to enjoy a private guided tour to:
Abu Simbel Temples
The two Temples of Abu Simbel, with their unique style, are considered to be the masterpieces of ancient Egypt. The Temples are rock-cut structures, and both were built during the reign of King Ramses II in 1200 B.C. One temple is dedicated to King Ramses II, and the second temple is dedicated to his beloved wife Queen Nefertari. The carvings and artwork that decorate both temples are incredible. Hand-carved pillars, wall paintings, carvings, statues, and much more, this is a must-visit place.
Lunch will be served as soon as you return to Aswan, then back to your hotel to end your Luxor & Abu Simbel trips from Marsa Alam.
