Day 4: Luxor: On the fourth day, explore Luxor’s West Bank, also known as the City of the Dead. Visit the Valley of the Kings, a royal burial site with tombs of Ancient Egyptian rulers. The Tomb of Tutankhamun is an intricate tomb decorated with inspiring hieroglyphs and murals. From there, discover the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, one of Egypt’s most impressive temples, which boasts the most beautiful views of the surrounding area. End the day by visiting the Colossi of Memnon before returning to Luxor.
Day 5 and 6: Aswan: Travel to Aswan on your fifth day to explore the stunning Philae Temple by boat. Philae is on an island, and the boat ride provides a gorgeous view of the Nile River. Afterward, visit the Unfinished Obelisk, a block of granite that was abandoned in ancient times. Here, you learn how these ancient structures were cut and erected in the temples.
