Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Visit Luxor’s Most Popular Attractions

Your two-day Luxor and Cairo from Aswan trip will begin with breakfast, followed by our representative picking you up from your Aswan hotel and boarding a train to the everlasting city of Luxor, where you will experience some of the top Luxor tourist sites, beginning with:

The Kings’ Valley: The Valley of the Kings is the heavenly last resting place of Egypt’s new kingdom’s finest kings and queens (1570-1070 BC), and it is one of the world’s most spectacular archaeological monuments, having been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979. It has 63 tombs with enthralling ancient Egyptian artifacts, décor, and the bones of pharaohs such as Rameses II and his dynasty, Amenhotep I, Hatshepsut, and the legendary boy-king Tutankhamun.

Temple of Hatshepsut: Hatshepsut Temple Deir El-Bahari celebrates the beauty and splendor of Queen Hatshepsut, one of ancient Egypt’s most successful and visionary monarchs. The temple’s architecture is based on the notion of Classical Architecture from 1479 BC, and it houses some of Egypt’s most spectacular decorations and sculptures.

Memnon’s Colossi: The Colossi of Memnon are two huge stones of quartzite sandstone that rise at a height of 18 meters (60 feet) and weigh 720 tons each, each in the form of Amenhotep III (1386-1350). The Colossi were severely destroyed by a massive earthquake in 27 BC. but were reconstructed in 199 AD. The Vocal Memnon, which the sculptures sang from time to time at dawn in a wailing sound that was nothing more than the sound of the wind blowing through the statue, made the statues renowned throughout the Greco-Roman era.

After that, you’ll eat lunch before heading to:

Karnak Temple: Karnak Temple is one of the world’s largest open-air museums, making it one of the most fascinating archeological sites in history. It was known for almost 4000 years as Ipet-isu, which means The Most Selected Of Places, and Pr-Imn House Of Amon. It was primarily devoted to the Theban triad, which comprised Deity Amun, his wife the Goddess of Justice Mut, and his son the moon god Khnsou.

You will fly straight to Cairo and spend the night in a five-star hotel.

Day 2: Visit Cairo’s Most Famous Landmarks

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and meet up with your tour guide to finish your two-day Cairo and Luxor trip from Aswan by seeing ancient Cairo tourist spots such as:

Giza Pyramids Complex: The Giza Pyramids complex is one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world and a true reflection of the ancient Egyptian civilization’s greatness. It dates back over 400 years and consists of three main pyramids, six smaller pyramids, the great Egyptian guardian, the glorious sphinx, and the valley temple.

The Great Pyramid of Giza: The Great Pyramid of Khufu, the last surviving edifice of the ancient world’s seven wonders, was built in 2580 BC in 20 years with 2,300,000 chunks of limestone weighing 2.5 tons apiece and a workforce of 100,000 free skilled craftsmen. The great pyramid soars at a height of 147 meters (481 feet), making it the world’s tallest structure for 3800 years. However, owing to its complicated interior compared to its huge size, it remains a mystery.

The Great Sphinx of Giza: The big sphinx is a mystery giant warrior sent from the sky. It is shaped like a mythological monster known as the sphinx, which has the body of a lion and the head of a man, most likely King Khafre, to demonstrate strength and intelligence. The sphinx is 73 meters (240 feet) tall and 20 meters (66 feet) wide, and it was carved out of single limestone rock in under three years with the help of around 100 free-trained laborers.

The Valley Temple: It was built during Egypt’s Old Kingdom (2686-2134 BC) and is one of the best-preserved archaeological monuments and a rich source of knowledge about the mummification process in ancient Egypt. It’s composed of limestone and granite and has amazing diorite sculptures of King Khafre.

Lunch will be served at Pyramids Nile View Restaurant with your Egyptologist tour guide, after which you will visit:

The Egyptian Museum: The Egyptian Museum has the world’s largest collection of rare ancient Egyptian artifacts and monuments, stretching back over 4500 years and spanning the whole history of ancient Egypt, as well as several mummies and other exhibits. Inside the two-story structure are about 120,000 items ranging from expensive materials like gold, silver, and rare jewels to simple materials such as wood or stone in the form of sculptures, funeral objects, and supplies such as King Tutankhamun’s riches.

Transfer to Cairo Airport to catch your flight back to Aswan, bringing your two-day Luxor and Cairo vacation to a close. Note: You are welcome to express your ideas on whether or not any trips should be included or removed from your tour schedule to satisfy your requirements and meet your demands.

What People Say About Us
5/5

Thank you Egypt Fun Tours for a most memorable trip. I admit I didn’t do any of the planning (it was all done by my boyfriend) but as you can read in the reviews below Hani (the owner of Egypt Fun Tours) is superbly organized and accommodating with scheduling.

My boyfriend and I, and our dearest mutual friend, booked the 7Days-6Nights tour. In short time, we visited Cairo, Aswan, and Luxor sailing down the down the Nile, pit stopping to see key sites at these location – and so much more!!! We got to know the ancient and modern egypt in depth thanks to Hani’s impressive knowledge. He also enlightened us on the people and their beliefs and went as far as showing us what a typical life looks like. I cannot express the level of personalized service Hani offered us. He was flexible to adapt to our requirements and added sites to our schedule that was not part of the tour simply to ensure we were 100% satisfied with our experience in Egypt.

I went to Egypt practically blind-folded, not knowing what to expect, especially considering the time we had decided to go (December 2020 – we were the first group that Hani met with after months of having to put his tour agency on hold considering the pandemic) yet he managed to surpass all of our expectations. I felt so incredibly lucky for us to have stumbled on Hani. I would recommend Egypt Fun Tours to anyone and everyone. It was truly, HANDS DOWN, the best cultural experience I’ve ever had. You’ll be in the best of hands.

Nille cruise,Luxor and Aswan where amazing sites to see, specially when you have with you the best tour guide in Egypt .Hamada was absolutely fantastic, lots of information and some of them not spoken by others. This guy was not only a simple tour guide for us, he became a good friend also. Was a one in lifetime experience. Highly recommend Fun Tours. Really a great experience.

Hamada was incredible! So knowledgeable and kind. He had information about every item, street corner, and relic we looked at. Any questions we had, he had answers! He even made sure to give us tips while walking through the crowds so that’s we would feel more comfortable when being approached by vendors. Oh and the food?! He took us to the best places! Delicious food!! We tried Egyptian fried chicken, falafel for the first time, the best shawarma in the city (we love food). We even got to meet his beautiful wife and children and try some “French” Egyptian coffee in their home! Truly made friends for life!! We’ve promised to host him and the family when they travel to America for the first time! Such an incredible experience, and Hamada (and family) made it that much more memorable and amazing!

Excellent trip to historic sites with no one else around. We came to see Egypt while most places still had COVID19 fears. The staff at Egypt Fun Tours were professional, safe, and great to deal with. Very helpful, knowledgeable, and entertaining. I feel like I just got a a year of Egyptology in the last week and we had all the sites to ourselves due to COVID19. While people are shutting down and staying home you should feel safe to come explore with Egypt Fun Tours and have the place to yourself.
